Two days ago, I found a restaurant in the middle of town, and a couple came up and randomly gave me a stack of Scholastic's Marvel: Origins storybooks.

(There are... other interpretations of this story.)
Anyway, the point is: one of them was an origin of the X-Men. It was very sparse, and skimmed over all of the X-Men's history in a few pages. And yet, it included a picture of Mac fighting Logan (based on #109).

Oh sure. Tease us about the "other interpretations of this story" and then not tell us. I'm lucky if I ever get a restaurant coloring sheet let alone free comic books.

Well... Another interpretation is:
I knew the couple involved. Had invited them to the restaurant, in fact. In celebration of some sort of day that was actually yesterday, but is actually today.

This is comics... No, wait, it isn't.
I do live on the opposite side of the International Date Line to where I was born, though.

Looks like this might be something new.

There's one picture of Mac, and the more patriotic Canadians are gonna hate it:

Yeah, the images Rob's just posted are from the 2nd versions X-Men: An Origin Story, as opposed to Uncanny X-Men: An Origin Story which the linked thread originally talked about, and Rob goes on to blog about on his site.
That image is definitely from that one.

I *was* pretty surprised when I thought we hadn't covered it!
