So, I've hardly been here but as I was thumbing through my issue of Ultimates #7, there are a few panels of Captain Marvel (Col Danvers) on some kind of video link up with Puck (now that he's part of the Space AF team)... and the artist (Kenneth Rocafort) has drawn Puck with a crew cut (!). I must say that Puck is probably the most mutable character I've seen across the various titles (Capt Marvel, Spider-Woman etc) that I've seen him appear - sometimes with just a big mo, sometimes with a big lumberjack beard and, here, with a crew cut.
Anyway, thought I'd pop in here with a Puck observation... :-)
Hey Seng! You, with a Puck observation? Never!
Yeah, loads of exposure for the team! and Puck especially. He was also in #3 of Ultimates (http://alphaflight.net/showthread.php?4715-Some-Alpha-Flight-appearances&p=100269&viewfull=1#post100269), with slightly less hair.

Next week he's in Ms. Marvel #8 too (http://alphaflight.net/content.php?935-Ms-Marvel-8-Preview)!

Never a bad thing, Puck is becoming a major character, so many writers love to write him and so many are chomping at the bit to do work with a smart, women-loving, high-density fighter who has so much complexity being his physical abilities.

That's odd - it's the same artist (Kenneth Rochefort) who drew him in #3 as drew him in #7 with a crew cut. Maybe Puck found some follicle rejuvenating lotion in space! ;-)

I'm guessing he interprets the character as choosing to shave his head regularly rather than being naturally bald.
And in space I guess it's hard to find the time to maintain a strict grooming regime!

I can't remember his baldness ever being explained; so maybe he does just shave his head.
Or am I forgetting something?
Or maybe it was mentioned in Uncanny X-Force, after I gave up on it?

I'd always assumed he was naturally bald - when he let Razzer (or whatever) go - did he have hair? I am pretty sure (if I remember) aside from getting old, he also suddenly grew a grey goatee - but can't recall if he had hair on his head too.

As far as I can tell from flipping through three issues casually, he never took his cap off.

Was past-Puck bald in Wolverine #35-37? (I'm at work right now)

Wasn't that present Puck back in time?
Wait...
Nope, it was past Puck and he was bald.

So maybe he's dedicated to making sure he doesn't get his hair pulled, like superheroes do when they wear capes?
