I'm tempted to bid on the guardian, but am broke. I have one, but my dog got ahold of it when he was a puppy, ate half a lef, mangled the hand and face. I managed to fix it, but it's not quite the same.

Good stuff on the 1st appearence! Every AF fan needs a copy of that one!

Has anyone else ever wondered if they confused the yellow covers for Alpha Flight #1 and the Marvel Age issue of Alpha at Marvel? It seems like the covers would have made more sense on the opposite books.

Ahhh, I figured you got your pic from a custom action figure. Very cool. Yah, the price is crazy! But apparently they only made 20 of each. The guy actually has more AF stuff! Dunno what is, and what is not for sale though, but have a look at:

That link was posted at the Alpha Flight message board shortly after I posted the first link to ebay here. Jo, if you have someway of getting these made cheaper, I'm sure there would be a few customers around here!!!!

As I told Ben earlier in chat, the bloke who makes these occasionally ships to comic shops for orders placed through them. I called the two I frequent and one of them said it would be the same as getting it on eBay if not a little more expensive once you figure in mark up just s the place can turn a bit of profit from the sale. Sooooo...Swifty, get hot boy! ^^

Damn you! Just kidding. ^^

I avoid eBay like a bad plague now a days because of their self righteous ways at anime/manga producers. Their TOS leaves a lot to be desired as does the TOS of their buddy Paypal.

I'm not knocking them for comic related stuff because that doesn't have the 'adult' image that anime seems to have inhereted. I know peolpe who have been busted for selling stuff related to Pokemon or the like, because it's listed as 'anime' and eBay went on the hunt for random people they suspected breaking their TOS.

It was just really bad... I tried to do a last second swoop on it, but they had already bid more than I was willing to go, so I just ended up jacking the price way up on them.

The similarity is prolly because ebay OWNS paypal....
