Yeah, this was being discussed in the other Weapon X thread. How much does this suck?? I think the only good thing about it is that it will relieve a little pressure the wallet was feeling...

If Weapon X is being cancelled, then I'm sorry to hear about it. I always thought of it as being an extension of Alpha Flight, as well as of the X-Men.

If they do cancel the book, I wonder if Aurora and Wild Child will return to Alpha Flight? They're too good to let languish.

Well, I heard it may be cancelled last week. Odd, Marvel people should know enough to keep any new comic book with new appeal around for at least 50 issues to see how it is received. Books like Emma Frost and Mystique tread old ground, ANADAF and Weapon X break new ground and bring in more readers. Odd.

According to a quick sentence on the Wizard world website it was announced at chicago wizardworld that weapon X would be returning in 2005 as a mini..............perhaps details may follow at the x-men panel coming up later

The cancellation really sucks....I was beginning to like where the stories were going. I was mostly reading it for the former AF members....now what's going to happen to them? I didn't like(or buy) the last couple story arcs of the series(couldn't care less about Phantomex....blech! And I have no interest in Sabretooth as the satr of the book)....I would have preferred that Frank clear up the mysteries of Neverland and have Malcolm Colcord(the former WX Director) carry out his vengeance(or at least, attempt to).

I just picked up the last seven issues of the series, and have yet to read them. I'm hoping that the series at least went out with a bang. Has anyone else read the last story arc??
