Congratulations! :D It's especially interesting that Del delivered your grandchild! Was it a homebirth?

It wasn't intended to be a home birth. My daughter came to visit yesteday. She was going to stay overnight and go home today. Bubs and I went out for the evening and as we were heading back we got a couple of calls to say she was having pains. We'd been back about ten minutes when she had a sharp pain and Bubs noticed things were well advanced. We called an ambulance and stayed on the phone while we delivered little un. Kinda bizarre and surreal.

Congratulations! It's a special event just being there, but actually delivering the baby must take it to a whole new level.

This is all wonderful and exciting. Seems as if your daughter had what is known in the trade as a precipitate birth. Having had two of them myself, (my son was also born unexpectedly at home, and my daughter at a childbirth center after only 50 minutes of labor), I can understand how it happened. Congratulations to you all! :D

I'm not really all that surprised. First they popped out , what , 400 yung'uns of their own. Plus Del's been delivering us wit and wisedom for a number of years. (Almost ten. Can you believe that?)

So it's only natural he'd combine the two pastimes at some point.

Congrats to you Del and bubs and your Daughter.
