In the topic revealing the commission on his board, JB replies to a question about preference for the original or the yellow Aurora costume. He reveals the yellow was only meant for a story arc and prefers the classic black & white.
Makes me wonder what the end of that arc could've been!
man, his renditions of af still give me goosebumps.
his renditions of mac in the guardian suit bring tears to my eyes.

Wow, JB's 3 for 3 now on AF. I wonder who's commissioning him to do all these AF prints?

This is really beautiful. I'm so glad to see John Byrne doing Alpha again, even if it is just an occasional picture.

Maybe John Byrne's feelings toward Alpha Flight have mellowed. He used to say (on the message boards and in interviews) that doing Alpha Flight "was never much fun". The feeling I got was that he never wanted to have anything to do with Alpha again. Yet, the fact that he's started doing Alpha commissions again is a hopeful sign.
Yes, it would be great if he could do a monthly series, (or even a mini-series). :)
I think it's just about the money to be fair. I could be wrong though.

And once again, he Venus de Milo-d Snowbird....
The mouths scare me.. they're almost like ventriloquists dolls...

Yes, I agree that he Venus-de-Miloed Snowbird. (Though she looks more like "Winged Victory" to me....)

I coloured the pic for fun, I don' t know if I should post it or not though because I've heard that He doesn't like it when people do that. I could have just heard it wrong though, If you guys want to see it just let me know

Y'know, I have a soft spot for that yellow costume. Something about it always grabbed me and I felt it fit nicely with her character at the time. But there's something nice about seeing him drawing her back in the original. :)

I definitly like the original costume better, everyone that knows me, knows that I can't stand the bimbo, french stereotypical 3rd personality Aurora and so for those reasons I just don't like the yellow costume. Plus I think the black and white costume had more class.
