The pics of the Derangers [drawn by Mark Bagley], comes from Gamer's Handbook of the Marvel Universe. It's from either the 1990 character update or the 1991 one. I have the first volume of the GHMU from 1988 and the Derangers are not in it. Maybe this might help...

I thought I recognised Bagley's style; on Breakdown, at least.

But he never drew the Flight. Hmm... I wonder how that would've been?
I don't think he's quite right. But he's a lot better than some people who've drawn the series.

I reckon Bags could do the Flight justice, his Thunderbolts work was spot-on.
Though his style seems to have changed to fit Ult-Spidey over the last 8 years.

Well the rumours of who might be doing Alpha Flight have only been Oeming, Bedard, Millar, Coipel(Copiel?), and some guy I just can't recall right now, a guy who has done covers for Marvel but not many, if any, interiors. BUt it's all just rumours and conjecture that way right now.

I'd throw a guess that if it is happening at all, it isn't a single one of those names on board....

Damn I have no means of getting those issues and pics. Can anyone else get them? I should have Bedlam's bio up tonight.

D'oh! I thought I knew stuff...

But, that was before New Warriors; before I got a feel for his style.

Yep, right before he started NEW WARRIORS.

I have a Butch Guice piece from that series. Likely the only one, as I don't think any actual pages exist. I picked it up during the site outage from an art dealer in Canada.

Here is a hi-res version of it.

They're pretty hard to get, but looking for it, the Derangers shots appear to be from Volume 5, which is the 1989 Character Updates:

Here's a detail from the Great Beasts page:

Nice, Rob! I love the look of Schizoid... kinda like Nightshift's Needle, or Deathstroke.
Can't recall his name in Alpha Flight.

It was Janus I think, something to do with a Roman God.

Of course!
The split / twinned / two-faced Roman god of beginning the year!

Going back to the original post, I found the following site: http://classicmarvelforever.com/cms/gamers-handbooks.html
Not sure on the legality of it, but maybe if you open rather than download...
They're interesting to look at. Some are original art, some aren't, so I'm not sure I'd pay ebay prices for them.
