I'm not normally one for Marvel Games on the PC, but Ultimate Alliance (http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?type=mov&id=12468) looks like it could be fun.

A few lip morph problems on Thor, but great animation otherwise. I've been looking forward to this game for a while. I really like X-Men Legends II so I'll probably buy this one.

I got this game in from gamefly last week and have been rocking it with
US Agent, Beta Ray Bill, Spiderwoman, and I threw in Dr. Strange for the Talisman slot.

It's pretty cool so far although I don't see Mysterio whooping the teams ass like he did in my game. :lol: That's probably because I stink at these things. I have it on the XBox 360 and it does feature an online co-op mode so if anyone here has the system and wants to hook up to play and talk AF let me know. My gamertag is Reklaw P.

They took away everything that was cool about the classic Thor (spinning Mjolnir, red cape, winged helm), kept everything that was wrong (blonde hair, those six useless dots), still forgot to add his metal gauntlets, and who's responsible for that silly hammer/axe? :roll:

Apparently in the new Thor title, they will be switching to more culture-based costumes, a la the Riders of Rohan in the LotR.

Oh, and interestingly enough, history is responsible for the hammer-axe. In the late Scandinavian Stone Age, the doubelheaded stone axe was the preeminent weapon of war, and also had strong religious associations. It was even worn around the neck, presumably as a protective charm, even as Thor's hammer would be in later times.

Some believe that the doubelheaded stone axe was the precursor of the hammer, and was how Thor's hammer was originally perceived. Me, I attribute the Axe as the original weapon of TyR, whom, according to Indo-European comparison, was the original wielder of the "thunder", but agree that the stone axer morphed into the hammer over time.

So then nobody has it for the 360 I take it. Online coop is a blast. I've was running a psuedo Omega Flight on there with BRB, US Agent, Spiderwoman, and Iron Man in the way of Guardian but I ended up replacing him with Dr. Strange and going the mystical route.

Defintely worth a rent.

I've got it for the 360 too. It's a great game. I did the same team with OF for a bit as well.

I have it for the PSP. My OF team has Wolvie in instead of Strange. Wolvie is just boss in the game, his regen is sick.

Wish i found this thread earlier. I to have it for X-Box 360. I usually use a 3 man team of USAgent, Beta Ray Bill, and Arachne. If anyone wants to hook up and play on line now and again im always down. Post on here and lets try and get a game goin...My usual days off are Thursday and Friday and I play alot after work around 9:30pm Eastern. My tag is Dfense75. BTW the DLC should be ready before May 22nd. Ill post here if I here an exact date for it.

I finally broek down and went and bought a used copy from my gamestore.. Its great I just finished the Namor level on easy.. I also used a cheat to unlock everyone cause i didn't feel like trying to unlock them.. but i have been unlocking costumes the legit way.. got everyone there second costume, Captain America is up to US Agent... Iron man has three that I got during his trainign mission (Beleive me i hate iron man and wouldn't play him just for the heck of it) I got wolvie up to his classic outfit and his ultimate outfit. I got all four of Collossas' costumes.

as Of late I've been using Luke Cage, Deadpool, Colossas and Thor.. though now that i cheated and unlocked everyone I am thinking about changing it up.

I was actually pissed to find out you can't play as Namor.. I was really looking forward to it. jerks. I also wish they had iron fist.

I think i'm going to try a team with Blade, Black Panther, Storm and Luke Cage... you know a "black power" team.. I my self am white, but man.. 4 black heroes... they'd put white heroes out of business if they were on a team... esspecially those four

I don't much care for thor in the game.. so i'll drop him.. easy but I really like deadpool.. so I dunno havn't played enough to find 4 characters i'd like to make my "official" team.. still feeling around

My buddy and I rent it for the PS2. We have a team of four; I use Wolverine, my buddy uses Ghost Rider, and we have Storm, Spiderman, Captain America and Thor as alternates. It's a fun, kick ass game IMO. I'm thinking of getting it for the Wii which I just got! Booyah!

For those that have the DLC for X-box 360 the new characters own. My team that I use the most is Black Panther, Storm, Thing, and Human Torch. The "New" Fantastic Four. I have Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, and Luke Cage (Hero for Hire) as my back ups.

i officially made my team be Storm (astonishing), Luke Cage (hero for hire), Black Panther (Modern), and Blade (Ultimate) The team name is Black Power and they actually go really well together, all of their outfits have black and yellow in them.. kinda cool.

They added Venom, Dr.Doom, Magneto, Sabertooth, Cyclops, Hawkeye, Nightcrawler and Hulk as playable charaters in the DLC

I've had fun building up their costumes.. I am now tryign to do the spider man comic mission and boy is it tough.. honestly spiderman is probably one of the hardest characters to control in the game, he doesn't really have a move that says "die, i'm all power"..

My all time favorites (For the game, not so much comic wise) in this order would be:

Storm

The power "web warrior" is really good for damage probably his best

USAgent/Captain America is one of my most fun...His shield throw is one of the best moves in the game. Not only does it knock down any enemy it hits. It travels straight thourgh every enemy in its line knocking them down for an easy kill. Spiderwoman Venom Blast also owns. It to will hit multiple enemies if they are in a line and does very good damage.

what system do you have it for? there are codes to unlock all the costumes and characters from the beginning of the game so you can just enjoy the game with whoever you want. Yes Arachne is the 3rd costume for Spiderwoman

well, I have 360, and I used the codes to unlock the characters, as for costumes, I like having to complete comic missions to get them, it elongates the game.. once i beat the game i plan to use the code to get all the comic missions i missed during the missions.. but I like completeing a mission than spending a few hours doign the missions that it came with to build up and get the new costumes. its all interesting

A really fun team im using ATM is Dr.Strange (classic), Ghost Rider (Original), Moon Knight (Classic), and Blade (Classic). The team name is 70s Horror. The connection obviously is all the characters and the costumes im using are connected to the 70s horror trend in Marvel. Its a very very fun group
