Not as good as it could have been. Five pages plus cover is what is normally released.

Still, by letting your imagination run riot a little, all types of scenario's present themselves from the pages shown :o :?

It's probably my fault on the short preview. I held on to a bulk of the pages before sending them in. I didn't know they'd run a preview this soon on it. I imagine you'll see more pages soon.

Indeed- but since all the hype in the solicits seems to be about Pointer, one must wonder.... Of course, the hamfisted solicit for the last issue made it out that the story would focus on Agent and Daisy's fight, so who knows?

If Omega becomes ongoing I so hope that Sasquatch is a full time member. I cant wait to see in its entirety what looks like BRB knocking the crap out of the Wrecking Crew.

BRB has a power level approximately equal to Thor (he beat him on an unlevel playing field remember,) and each member of the Wrecking crew has a power level approximately equal to Thor. How is BRB going to win by himself?

Especially in the past the Crew has victories over Thor and Piledriver laughed at blows from Thor.

Luke Cage/Powerman has beat the Wrecking Crew...The 4 of them together have the combined might of 1 Asgardian god. Thor has beaten them before solo. They have been owned and owned alot of heroes in the Marvel U. They have given as well as they have taken. I think BRB and Sasquatch could take em...just depends on the day

Going out on a limb here, but I figure it's Loki pulling the strings. The Wrecking Crew open the wrong doorway and instead of being able to access the Rainbow Bridge to Asgard, they open the doorway to the Realm of The Beasts.

Or not. Gotta love the power of speculation 8)

Actually the demons only hunted down Bill's peoples convoy of space ships. Surtur himself destroyed the Burning Galaxy and used the remains to forge the Twilight Sword.

And I'm thinking that scene is just Simon seeing Bill's story.

Considering it could've been pages about Michael Pointer, I'm glad it's a preview of the artist who looks to become BRB and Sasquatch...in the same place, at the same time....in issue 3! 8)

Wow. Well the art and colour looks great. As does the layout. I know next to nothing about BRB (yes Ben, I read the Alphanex), what i mean personality wise. Can anyone suggest a definitive story with him that I could pick-up?
I really hope that OF sells out of the third issue, then we HAVE to have an ongoing. If we don't, then I will believe that there is a conspiricy to keep a Flight book off the shelves.
But having issue #2 sell out is REALLY good, considering that there usually is a significant drop-off on a books second issue.

I dont honestly think it has been disclosed as to what his name would be. To be honest I think Vindicator would be more appropiate then Guardian. Up to this point Im pretty sure it has been assumed he would be called Guardian.

So is Tanaraq's prison in GB land also a representation of Sasquatch's mental prison he has Tanaraq locked in? Either way, it looks like the whole debate we had about whether Sassy is affected by Tanaraq still might be settled in this issue.

Even though there are no words in these pictures (thanks Ben and Reber for posting them), I am in paroxysms of sheer pleasure at the inclusion of the GBs in OF. It goes to show that MAO and co are truly committed to acknowledging and using AF's history in OF. As an old(er) AF fan, this is just tops!

Also, I like the "After Byrne" bit that Scott did in the GB dimension panel.

I'm really hoping that OF will be a regular now. It has got to be. So much lost potential if it wasn't allowed to continue with MAO and Scott at the wheel.

I assume the Beasts took the opportunity of the CW and death of AF to lure the crew there to release them. That will force Talisman to stay with the team to keep the Beasts in check. 8)

Definetly going to say on purpose as he was hearing voices in his head to go to the muesum and no way would Snowbird send them there and enter the Realm of Beasts. I will put money it was Tanaraq's influence and that's why Snowbird is trying to "compell" [sound familar] people to fight the Great Beasts.

Mokole

I doubt it has anything to do with Snowbird. I think it's Nelvanna, or another Northern god.

Nelvanna knows the Great Beasts are looking for a way out of their realm, again, so she signals Talisman in her vision to seek out someone who can help, BRB, plus showing Talisman that the Wrecking Crew isn't the threat.

The Great Beasts see the WC as a great opportunity to leave their realm, as they have mystical powers and can 'break the doors down'. Nelvanna knows this too so sends Talisman some aid, BRB and Sasquatch both know where to go and go along with it. That way the WC can be stopped before the Great Beasts get their way.

Damien
05-14-2007, 08:18 AM
Yeah, I think Mungi and a friend of mine called this a while back. I'm looking forward to seeing exactly what Tanaraq's influence will be, and if other Great Beats will be getting involved.

It also seems that Talisman reads Micheal's soul to check his intentions (similar to how Dr. Strange did it recently in New Avengers 30). I'm enjoying how the story is getting deeper as it progresses in plot and characterization.

Keep buying this one, folks. We're gonna get an ongoing, I just know it!

...In Marvel's case those would be botched surgeries anyway...Can we sue for malpractice?

This is my major peeve: when I buy a bad comic book, I can't just take it back to the lcs, say its defective, and get my money back. Can't take the creators/publishers to the Better Business Bureau. The only options I can think of are sell it, trade it, or trash it....none of which does anything to correct the defective story. If somebody tries to fix the defective story, it usually only makes things worse. Not only won't the defective story be forgotten because it is considered part of "continuity", it invariably ends up being someone's favorite story.

If someone called in a professional plumber to fix a small but annoying leak, but the plumber ended up flooding the entire house with raw sewage, most people wouldn't be happy. If someone called in a professional electrician to fix the lighting that's gone out in the basement but ended up burning down the house, most people would be right to question the ability of that electrician.

Most people would be mad and expecting some sort of rectification for shabby workmanship, but in comics there is no real rectification for defective books.

When did Scott say that it wasn't Snowbird? Remember, Narya can influence others to aid her against the Beasts and she is a Demigoddess, formerly a spirit (while she was dead)...She could have powers beyond what has previously been shown.

Mike and Scott hinted at a Snowbird appearance when the member birdy asked about her.

When he originally showed the owl picture, he said it wasn't Snowbird. That's all I know about it. Snowbird knows nothing of what Talisman is doing or up against or trying to do, but Nelvanna and the Northern gods could have that insight, knowing about the Great Beasts as constantly as they do. I'd think Nelvanna would help Talisman easily, but does Snowbird know what Talisman is doing?

I'm taking good educated guesses, but guesses are guesses. Retconns often overule the obvious (as anyone who knows the Monarch/Captain Atom fiasco).

Are you speaking of the owl sketch Kolin's did before the OF series or the owl drawings in the series itself (BTW....The owl has the Snowbird headdress in both)? Why couldn't Snowbird know what's going on via her Godly family, she's always been sensitive to anything concerning the Beasts? Not to mention, Nelvanna would probably fill her in on whatever she needed to know.
