Wild Child is a high-ranking Nazi as well? Errrrr?

I'm just gonna chalk it up to "weird". I have to admit though, Bianchi's work is pretty impressive in terms of the detailing and shading. I don't like his Sasquatch, but otherwise...very nice.

Wow, Loeb has convinced me never to buy one of his comics again. As this is trash, complete, and utter trash.

Wha?.... Jah?.... Bah? That's all there is to say about that. Also Sasquatch looks like a short Chewbacca/Werewolf.

I really don't mind them retconning Wild Child if it'll get him back in the A list. But if they did something like this with Sasquatch, heads would roll. Although I'm not liking this "Pack of Wolves" group thing. I think he's better off in that hole with Thunderball. wait wait... maybe Thunderball is somehow a metafore for Loeb... yeah.

Oh noes.... Why Loeb, Why? Also, I find Cap's dialogue to be slightly off.... Maybe its just me but I remember him being more levelheaded.

This thing with Sasquatch though... It cannot stand. If this stuff plays out how it looks... It isn't even a retcon, its a continuity error!! A giant continuity error! How could the editors allow this!!?

Edit: I just asked MO what he thought of things over at his boards...

I read somewhere today that Quicksilver is running around with some crystals that can restore mutant powers, anyone know about that? It could explain why WC and co. have their powers back. Doesn't excuse the rest of that garbage, but explains the sudden remutancy.

He stole the crystals from the Inhumans in Son fo M and started the Silent War. From the limited pages I see here, it looks less like anything from Quicksilver, more to do with Wild Child being... sigh... not a mutant but a werewolf/clan member. Why Sasquatch is involved, I don't wanna know.

Man, the more they try to explain Wolverine's backstory, the dumber it gets.

That Sasquatch is terrible looking too. Maybe Scott can send the artist some pointers on how to do a decent job of drawing him.

Tip #1 for drawing Sasquatch: Don't.

He hitched a lift with a buzzer.
Buzzers are usually rich kids with nothing to do. They pick a planet that hasn't yet developed interstellar travel and 'buzz' them-land in a lonely field in front of some poor naive slob who nobody's ever gonna believe, and strut up and down in front of them with antennae on their heads, making 'beep beep' noises.

Rather childish, really.

I find it highly "improbable" that occured. Maybe he was changed into a whale or a bowl of roses before he ended up in the comic? Maybe the mice got ahold of Loeb's brain to extract the answer? 42? What is six times seven? That would explain the wookie being in that book because it''s clearly not Sasquatch. Sasquatch did seven amazing things that morning and was rounding it off with breakfast at... 8)

Gotta make it fit! Can't imagine it didn't happen!

It's "continuity"!

Somebody's making (or trying to turn) the Alpha Flight characters into cash-cows, popping them into books where they really don't belong.

And I thought I was insane, but these new stories . . . I don't think they ret-conned Kyle so much as destroyed him totally  I can see Sabretooth as a Nazi, but Kyle? How can they toss his entire history out the window? What about Wyre? The Secret Empire? Valerie Cooper and Teenage Kyle? Who is the idiot writing these stories? What's next, Wolvie is an alien? A god? Sasquatch is really Chewbacca? (Star Wars cross-over! Marvel did make a Star Trek cross-over once, I didn't read it.) I know, Wolvie is an avatar of Mephisto! That's it! I'll submit my idea to Marvel, if they'd buy that crap, they'd buy my stupid ideas!

But I still love "Herr" Gibney, even if he is an agent of evil!  Seriously, I'll remember him as the old Kyle, not this trauma-induced nightmare of poor writing and horrific ret-conning....

Well, I guess it's time I moved to Manga, I just don't much like Marvel anymore. They killed off or ruined every good character they had: Kyle, Skin, X-Treme... :(

Didn't the Golgafrinchans (sp) retcon the 6x7. Maybe it's them who are influencing Loeb

Considering in his origin in X-Factor Kyle Gibney was a normal youth who was mutated by the Secret Empire, then discovered he was a mutant and now he's Feral in WW2! :? Quick to the Milenium Falcon, we must use the 'Farce' to undo this retconned retcon.

At the moment, it's best to just take a breath and chalk it up to being a fever dream and nothing more.

Wolverine did fight in WWII...A couple of times with Cap A...Maybe his brain just added Wild Child in as a Nazi antagonist, because he was just recently attacked by Kyle?

Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhat? If Sasquatch was his normal size, he'd a just stepped on him. But because he's all Wookied-out, I bet Kyle was almost as tall as him. Am I right?

Well I for one love Chewbacca and the Teen Wolf! I'm in no way endorsing Sasquatch looking like either, but my Sas probably wouldn't look a whole lot better. I'm more concerned with the defamation of character than the look. You can chalk a bad picture up to poor artwork, but once Sas becomes a feral wolflike being, how do you fix that? Let's vote right now....only Scott Kollins can draw Sas and only MAO can write Sas! All for say "Aye!" all opposed go say so at the Marvel forum!

I believe the writers think that we fans are all too stupid to notice that they've totally destroyed two Alpha Flight characters for the sake of some F-rate plotline that anybody who knows anything about these characters hates.

How can we express our supreme displeasure at these mind-blowingly stupid developements?

Maybe Mr. Loeb should go work for a title that more fits his so-called "skills", like The Inquirer (He's not good enough for The Weekly World News) Kyle was looking like WWN's Bat Boy for a while there . . . :P

I will say this. I am extremely suprised at Jeph Loebs Marvel work to date. I have read alot of his DC work and liked it alot. I can only assume that he does not have a large understanding of the Marvel Universe and its history. Fallen Son has not been that bad. Wolverine(and ill admit to not reading his solo title because I like him alot more in the team atmopsphere) has looked horrible from everything I have seen. Im willing to give him a chance here at Marvel but as soon as the Wolverine arc ends put him on something a little less relevant and let him find his "Marvel " legs.

Yeah, but if they do that, they'll put him on a new Alphega Flight book.
