That's pretty good numbers for OF. Even considering it was a number one, it still ain't bad. Do you know if that includes the reprint numbers?

BTW just out of interest, who picked up the reprint?

Damn, Avengers: Initiative beat OF.

Mokole

But OF beat Runaways, She-Hulk (easily, by a huge margin), Incredible Hulk, Excalibur, Punisher, X-23, and Cable/Deadpool, of Marvel titles that are supposed to be editor's choices. 8)

That wouldn't include the reprint. I've got mine waiting for me, haven't been into the comic shop in a few weeks, so I'm assuming it's there for me.

In just Marvel titles, it's one of their top 20 sellers.

So whats it "officially" gonna take to prove this title is worthy of ongoing status?

From a Marvel point of view, they probably wouldn't want to announce one until after number five had come out, to keep people motivated to buy the mini in hopes of an ongoing coming out.

Do we know how many thousand it sold? 50? 40? 30? 20?

It sold very well, from the chart it seems like it sold 100,000, which is like 57K

I'm properly reading it wrong

At the top of the list is a legend stating based on actual units sold, so I would assume it's sold 103.32 which is pretty solid for a comic nowadays.

yeah, but what does that mean in actual numbers? How does the index equate to a number?

I also wonder how many more would have sold if the print run would have been bigger? Also, I wonder if they increased the print run for issue #2 given the fact that #1 sold out.

#1 sold out quickly in my regular store, i was lucky to get it hot off the transit the day it came out in Aus. I didn't notice #2 selling out (at least another half a dozen copies on shelf) but maybe they were prepared and had more copies in stock.

Wow, I expected it in the 70's but 39! That is VERY good. If only my beloved Manhunter could get those numbers. :(
For a title that Marvel didn't have much faith in I'd say it's doing rather well.

Quantity and Rank are the wrong way around at the top of the list. So QTY should be column two which states 103,000+

Omega Flight beat a Batman comic.

What's not to love?

Hopefully it will keep pulling these numbers. Looks like it outsold a lot of the bigger titles. Even Iron Man is having trouble reaching the numbers OF#1 put up. I'd say if we can keep the numbers up around 50K we should get an ongoing. Looks like 25-30K even merits an ongoing if you're a name character or team. Omega and even Alpha Flight should be in that number!

its kind of odd, in my opinion, that mike has not spoken about omega in months.

Not really... He can't talk about what he's working on. Also, I'm surprised he's even allowed here. There's legal issues when people post all their story ideas, and something similar happens in the series (even if MAO came up with it first. Should we call him the chairman?)
