Wanted to share our new idea for the Sasquatch bust I'm having done for my Alpha Flight shelf .. unlike the BD's version, this one will be smiling and will be in proper scale with the other members of the team .. I'm guesstimating that he is going to end up being between 11 & 12 inches in height and between 6 1/2 to 8 inches wide when he's done being sculpted.

Let me know what you guys think

This is intended to be Walter, so it will be the orange/brown/tan one. :)

Before anyone jumps in too early ... please note these are WIP pictures, I've asked for changes to be made to the face so it's more Byrne like.

The sculpt itself is 7 1/4 inches wide at the shoulders!

Well here he is SASQUATCH a la Resin Pimps!!!

The fur is still very rough and there will be a fine coat of fur added to the areas that are now smooth.

Wow, that's outstanding. I love the detail thus far

The smile is one of the things that I want changed, I want it to be broader, with less of an upper lip and more Byrne like ... when Sasquatch smiled it was with this whole face ... like this

Also the nose needs to be made thicker and shorter.

Here's a quickie photoshop of what I'm asking the sculptor to shoot for

And how's this for size comparison?!?!

Yes, keep us updated.

I have nowhere to put it, but I don't care--I want.

I like the way you've noticed how flat the mouth should be--your attention to detail is incredible.

It's looking fantastic. The wire frame "hook-hand" is a little creepy, though...LOL!

Needless to say I'm TOTALLY ecstatic right now!!!

Though I've asked for just a couple of small tweaks to be done to make the face perfect.

This sculptor is either going to hate my guts for being such a perfectionist, or is to love me for challenging the hell out of him ... I'm thinkin he's gonna hate me.

Just tell the sculptor there are a whole bunch of people who love him right now... or at least his work.

Well here is the bust version finished, personally I think the sculptor did an UNBELIEVABLE job capturing the character ... I've asked him if he could please get me a picture of it next to another bust for scale, I'll post those pics as soon as I get them.

Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

If I'm not mistaken, from the previous pictures that I've seen, I believe he's roughly 12 to 14 inches tall ... but don't quote me on that yet.

I can't get the flash to work the way I want it to, it either comes out too flushed or too dark ... but here is one for scale.
