Saw this in wikipedia. Thought it interesting

Daken refuses to answer and manages to flee, leaving Cyber and Wolverine alone. During the following battle, Cyber suffers from a heart attack, as Milo had a weak heart. Wolverine, upon discovering that Silas had previously instructed Daken, and is capable of tracking his location, spares him in exchange for information. As Silas starts retelling how, in 1912, he was saved from capital punishment by Sabretooth and taken to Canada where he met the mysterious man known as "Hudson", his condition worsens, and Wolverine is forced to bring him to the Tinkerer to help him with the needed treatment

Yeah, I've got that comic. Wasn't too impressed with this as it seems to hint that Mac's family had a long time connection to the government that his backstory doesn't bear out. I look at it as a writer trying to put a "kewl" twist on Wolverine's origin by suggesting some hidden agenda involving Mac.

I thought it would SUCK if they made Hudson's line evil. HUdson's name is almost on Xavier level to Logan and to screw it up would be BAD

Actually, I agree. No point in making the Hudson's evil or even going into Hudson background. Mac was the first one to join the government initiatives.

Yeah, but we shouldn't judge Hudson because of his (father? Grandfather?); only by his own self.

as of right now, the man is dead. can we alpha fans just be at ease with that at not make Marvel screw it up with the memory of Hudson.

I always felt that James Macdonald Hudson should've been left for dead after Byrne killed him. Heather became the leader Alpha Flight needed.

Interesting to see how this has panned out with the release of #33 (http://forum.alphaflight.net/viewtopic.php?t=2577)
