They used Silver Surfer instead of ROM :(, it was done for legal reasons though

This comic came out this week... anyone know if Puck or Skruck (I made that up, it's a combination of Skrull and Puck) makes an appearance, besides for the floating head on the cover?

EDIT: Picked it up today, no, just Skruck on the cover. Cover's got nothing at all to do with the story. The actual comic is a Luke Cage/Jessica Jones flashback. Ugh, I just actually read an entire Bendis comic and now I feel so dirty, need shower, need soap, lots of soap. I hate him.

Nope, he was just on the cover. The main story was the kidnapping of Jessica and Luke's baby.

Ack, you posted at the same time I was editing my entry to answer my own question but hey thanks anyway for the info!

I'm trying to get all the faces correct on this cover, do I have it right? Going from the left of Hawkeye, we have Puck, Iron Man, Thundra, Red Wolf, and I suppose that's a version of ROM?. To the right of Hawkeye we have Black Widow, Namor, Shroud, Mockingbird, Hercules, Tigra and Wonder Man.

From 1984, not on 2009: Quicksilver, Ant-Man, Cyclops, Doc Samson.

Instead of 'ROM' say 'Silver Surfer' (copyright issues, apparently, see above); Thundra? Could be. I'd figured Carol Danvers, but no mask, so I must be dumb.

I kinda like the imagery, with the photomanipulations; though Puck looks a bit Gomez.

Bendis -- Brian Michael Bendis -- I can read him, but -- he's readable, I'm not saying he's not -- but look he's done to my Flight, Ma!

The cover to New Avengers #47 is reprinted in the Secret Invasion Poster Book, which came out this week. It's just book of cover art from the story arc. The page is printed bigger, too, for those of you who aren't satisfied with regular-sized Skrull Puck. And no Bendis! Just the cover! :) I picked up a copy today!
