Persuasion has a cameo in the Marvel Holiday Special!
http://www.marvel.com/digitalcomics/titles/MARVEL_DIGITAL_HOLIDAY_SPECIAL.0000.1
She is in San Fran with the mutants...Northstar is also there.
If anyone knows how to update her wikipedia page, that would be awesome. I don't know how, lol.

That's great that they make appearances, but I really don't get Marvel's idea that all of the Earth's mutants have to be in the States and they all have to be in one area...It's kind of absurd.
Anyway...It was a nice little story.

Which page is she on? She is not jumping out at me. Maybe it is my computer's issue with resolution but I don't see her?

Same page as Northstar, just to the left. There's a girl with purple skin... Dunno if it's Persuasion or not... It's definitely Northstar, but I'm not convinced it's Kara shown there. I'm not 100% up to date on all the mutants in San Francisco, but it could be someone else. Hope I'm wrong.

She's just under the arm of Dani Moonstar, wearing a scarf. Could be her.

To be fair, there's probably mutants present for this story who normally aren't part of the San Francisco community, but have come along because they are visiting their friends for Christmas.

Yeah, she could be there to visit Northstar... in San Francisco... Is that a stereotype?
OTOH, that character's hair is black, and Purple Girl's is, well, purple. But she could've dyed. Of course, characters in the MU dye all the time, but they get better.

Kara's hair has mostly been shown to be black since her first appearance.
However...her original Handbook entry stated it to be purple.
The Marvel website states it's black...

Her father's hair is purple...And even Kara's has been shown to be sometimes looking purple, but it could just be black with purple highlights or she may have colored it.

Yes, and so far, none of them paralyzed from the waist down, killed, or killed multiple times in the same month! It's a miracle!

Two (JP and Kara) in the Holiday Special (can't call it a Christmas special, because that might offend one religion or another. Hey, isn't Thor back now? And Kenneth Brannagh will be directing the movie.)
One in X-Men 505... What's the third?

Third is X-Men: Infernus Guest-starring Witchfire.

Thus officially ending the debate of whether Kira died at Neverland...
it's nice to see that they all survived it.

No point in speculating much about all the appearances, Kara and Northstar are just appearances while Box and Witchfire have actual roles, though neither story idea holds much promise as a lead-in to AF..... yet.

Northstar, Aurora, Persuasion, and Jefferies call up Talisman and Sasquatch to help fight Witchfire. Not a bad Alpha line up.

I'm pretty sure X-Men:The 198 Files confirmed she was still with us.

Thankfully it did. I was so worried before those files came out that the same would end up happening with Kara that happened with Cecelia Reyes for so many years (thankfully put to rest now that Cece has appeared), people would just assume she was dead, even though she wasn't.

Here is to hope.
Hoping that these seemingly-random appearances of Alpha Flight members is not so random after all. Perhaps one of the higher-ups at Marvel has mandated some of the characters come out of mothballs, to build a little excitement of...wait for it...the all new Alpha Flight monthly series!
Yeah, i know...i'm a dreamer. So shoot me.

Thanx! Now to remember all that while inside a comic shop...
(Actually, I ordered the Christmas special, and the trade of Infernus... It was X-505 I forgot.)

This isn't the first time that Alpha Flight appears in a Marvel Holiday Special. Roll back to 1991, you'll find them in a Rurik Tyler pin-up inside the back cover of the book. Heather is on the left side waving, just next to Namor, and Puck can be seen on the right side, just next to Wolvie. I'll just post the entire image. Happy Holidays, uh, I know it's March, but bleh, anyway, here you go:

Ah, the Persuasion appearance has finally been printed. It's in a $9.99 magazine from Marvel, here are some links:
Solicit from Marvel (http://marvel.com/catalog/?id=13181)
Thing I wrote about it (http://alphaflightcollector.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/christmas-creep-hits-marvel-comics-this-year/)
It's very shiny and if you can find it, get the Spider-Man balloon cover variant!
