I'm not sure if anyone else on this forum reads DC and the Final Crisis limited series... but the entire narrative confuses me. I know that Grant Morrison is a bit of a writer's writer in that he doesn't explain and asks his readers to fill in the gaps - but there are so many gaps and I spend half the time trying to remember what happened 2 - 3 issues ago and how the action segues into the events in the current issue.
Does anyone else feel the same about Final Crisis? I feel as if I'm reading a universe-changing event of great import (in the DCU) but I have no idea what is going on. One moment, they're investigating the murder of Orion, the next moment space and time is collapsing around the Earth, and Darkseid has returned in the body of Turpin. What the...?
There's this mention of the Fifth World occurring on Earth. How does this factor into events?
