Regardless of your politics, any comic fan will chuckle at this Onion piece:

I think it's brilliant.
I've heard that BHO really is a comic book fan... will it affect sales beyond the recent Spider-Man issue? I wonder!

Did you catch the 'shopped Oval Office image with the two short boxes and figurine on the desk?

Okay, here's the plan:
As a group, we assemble the entire first series of Alpha Flight in a really nice short box. Then we ship it off to Obama with a note saying it would greatly help in repairing US/Canada relations if he references the team during his visit to Ottawa in February. Once that makes it in the news Marvel will have to give us a new series with the originals. Foolproof I tell you, FOOLPROOF!!!

Hmmmm...There's certainly no fools at Marvel to hamper such an idea.

Okay...um...exactly which one of us is going to ship our entire collection of beloved Alpha Flight comics to the President?
(Seriously, is anybody stupid enough to trust valuables to the Postal Service?)

We could follow Jack Handey's advice:
"I think a really good present for the president would be a chocolate revolver. Of course, he's a busy man, so you'd have to rush up really fast to give it to him."
On second thoughts, maybe Alpha Flight would be better. :)
