Just saw the preview for X-Men: Noir #3, and on page 4, Logan has a first mate by the name of 'Eugene', who has a distinctive vocal infliction, and looks an AWFUL lot like a certain acrobat we all know and love!

Have a gander yourself!

Nice one Fred!

I wonder if this means he'll be in the Wolverine Noir series too? :D

Thanks for the tip! It should be mentioned that there's a variant cover by Dennis Calero as well. So, uh, yeah, I just mentioned it. :)

Yeah, I finally decided to pick up NOIR (because it's limited), so I look forward to getting this one.

Phil, I notice you listed issue #4 in the appearances section. When I flipped through issue #4 at my LCS, I didn't see Puck, where was he? There was a guy in a bar saying "eh" but he was tall and had hair, not like the short bald guy in issue #3... just wondering...

It's the same guy, he's wearing the same clothes as in #3, calls him "Cap'n" and brings him the message from Xorn referencing the favo(u)r owed from the panel Puck appeared in in #3. And I'm sure that's shadowing rather than hair.

Hmmm... based on the art... the guy in #3 looks short, especially in the panel where his head is poking up from behind the bar and you can just see him, (was he hiding behind the bar during the quick little fight?)... and in #4 he looks full height behind the bar, as compared to the sitting Logan in front of him. Also he's wearing a tan shirt in #3, but a shirt with a vest in #4. In #3, you can clearly see his goatee and bald head, but in #4, yeah, the shading is hard to make out but I think he has hair and the goatee is really hard to see, especially on the right side of his chin.

But, that line about the favor, that is very convincing, and so is the repeat use of "eh" and "Cap'n"... so I'm 50.1% convinced. Well, that's a majority!!! Nice pickup, I actually put down the book when I first read it, disappointed that Eugene wasn't in it, now I have to go find a copy with the variant cover. Thanks!

Love,

Puck's in 3 / 4 issues; I think he's standing on a barstool (or something) in several of the images, and he wears a beanie. Which could account for both the height and the hair discrepancies.
