Hmmmm, interesting. If they do have Northstar leaving, could he go join AF next? Hmmmm....

Let's hope a new Guardian (or old Hudson Guardian) pops up soon to REALLY get the buzz going!

"If they do have Northstar leaving"

Did somebody say he was leaving?

He's not going to be killed again, is he?

I thought the writer said he wasn't going to be around long, just for one arc. But of course what do I really know?

1377 posts...I'd say "quite a bit", Mokole!

A set of preview pages:

and possibly a third, different cover? This one is Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Utopia #1 and the other link was for Uncany [sic] X-Men/Dark Avengers: Utopia #1 (group names reversed) and already had a variant cover... dunno.

Hopefully Jean Paul isn't going to be killed off again (I'm referring to the "He won't be around long" talk we've heard about)...It would also be nice if Fraction actually used him to greater effect, rather than just have him in the background, spouting a line or two than vanishing for the rest of the book...Sigh.

As I said, the "Sisterhood" storyline was very disappointing.

Alpha Flight appears in Dark X-Men: The Beginning #2 (http://comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=3107&disp=table) (click for preview pages). It's just a single panel flashback to the unfortunate events of New Avengers #16. Crybaby Pointer manages not to uncontrollably sob for 3 pages, a new record!

Northstar makes a cameo in Dark Avengers #7, just one panel with art reproduced from Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Utopia #1. There's also a variant cover by Simon Bianchi. This came out last week but I didn't notice it until today!

So yes, there were two variant covers, and now Marvel is publishing a 2nd printing of this issue due out this week. That's four versions total, so far.
