I want a Canadian Guardian in Alpha Flight, and a Nemesis, plus Sasquatch. After that, two more members. Preferably one true Inuit character, and a 3:2 ratio for males and females. And you?

If I can't have Alpha Flight, I'll take Episilon Flight.

I want Jimmy Hudson as Guardian, Talisman, Chuck Moss as Shaman, Snowbird, Puck, Sasquatch, Aurora and Madison as Box. Plus, the original Shaman's spirit to act as a mentor for Earthmover. Occasional appearances by Windshear, Northstar and Wolverine would be okay too.

All good proposals. But considering how Alpha has been treated why not ask for the world. I want Joe Q and Brian Bendis to publicly apologize for the years of ridicule and mistreatment. They will follow this by also apologizing to John Byrne and announcing a new ongoing by Byrne himself starring the original Alpha Flight members.

I like this idea. But, i humbly submit a few differences that I would make...
1) Let's leave Mac dead. he has died so many times, let's let him lay down in peace.
2) Team leader - Heather. no powers, no suit, just the way she started out after Mac's original death.
3) We need somebody in the Guardian suit. My vote goes to Walter Langkowski. Perhaps the strain of turning into Sasquatch becomes too much for his body to take, and he has to give it up, so...he becomes Guardian, the in-the-field leader.
4) I like Madison. But NOT as Box. Seriously, putting a manipulator of metals inside a metal robot, gives him WAY too much power. I like him more as a man, thank you.
5) Kyle Gibney. Yes, bring back Wild Child, struggling to be good, trying to be a hero. All the savagery of Wolverine, that makes for good writing, good stories.

Any takers? Anybody else on-board with this team?

I love it, except Walter as Guardian....If that was the case, we'd lose Sasquatch (and I like him being on the team). Madison is great without the Box robot (I'm actually liking how Fraction is treating him in Uncanny, as opposed to how he's handling Northstar).

My picks (they don't usually change)...

Heather as leader (behind the scenes, not in the field)
Guardian
Aurora
Northstar
Puck
Sasquatch
Snowbird
Talisman

...And Madison Jeffries hanging around.

Maybe a few old forgotten faces/imports of Canada's super community (the Living Totem? Jack Frost?) thrown in?

Agreed.
There are three things in total all the "Alpha Flight" comics have had (at least, in their respective #1s):

1: A <Greek letter> Flight title
2: A Canadian setting.
3: Some form of Sasquatch on the team.

Lose Sasquatch, and we're down to two.

How about Chuck as Shaman (with Shaman's spirit as guide), Diamond Lil, Madison Jeffries, Sasquatch, Aurora, Snowbird, Arachne, a new dude (possibly Inuit) with snow or cold powers of some sort (actually, on second thought, maybe not with powers but more like an ordinary human with a freeze ray-gun or something - hey, not all the Canadian heroes can be world-class ass-kickers, right? - I am thinking along the lines of that Paladin character, similar but not for-hire...see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paladin_(comics) ), and, as their leader...

Captain Canuck!

See

for more on that last option.

AND...
Start the series off by explaining WHY there has been no public funeral for the members of Alpha Flight (survived only by Earthmover, previously thought to be dead, and Sasquatch). We have seen no gravesites, so, where are the bodies? Have the new Alpha squad go and find where they are (perhaps Earthmover escaped, once he fully recovered/revived, from wherever the bodies are being kept?), rescue them so that they can be properly buried. And , for goodness sake, have Wolverine show up for the freakin' funeral! Gosh, he seems to be everywhere in the world at the same time, EXCEPT for where he SHOULD be, which is in Canada! Also, maybe we can learn that Talisman is raising Mac and Heather's child on the reserve where she is? I think that'd be a nice touch, don't you?
