Well Ill be, I had no idea he was until I recently picked up Secret Invasion - Home Invasion and he plays a large role. He appears in SI-HI #7-8

SPOILER: The Skrulls even make a super skrull of the Great Beasts and wrecks Walter. However, of course is easily defeated by another END SPOILER

Yeah, that was originally a Digital Comic, but only ever published in TPB form. It's in print and fairly easy to find at most places that sell TPBs.

Well, the "girl" is Kinsey Walden, a common teenager whose brother is all Skrully-impostory. Marvel did a fun little video introduction of Kinsey in the form of an 18-chapter fake video blog, the last entry of which is intentionally horrible to mock B-list horror movies of the same type, very good!

Unless you mean the other girl, who is Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau)

The Kinsey girl is a real person they used to promote Secret Invasion on her blogs for marvel, and such.

Well, Kinsey isn't a real girl, she's a character played by actress Megan Sherlock in the video blogs and continued in the digi-comics. Here's an article about her, and basically the entire Secret Invasion: Home Invasion project:

The thing I really didn't like about the serialized format was that each installation was very short... I think it was 1-3 pages released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so half of the page was "Stay tuned for the next episode on WEDNESDAY!!!" and it became unreadable.

Meanwhile, the TPB didn't have any nonsense like that, so you get actual full panels, not overlaid advertisements for the next page on each and every page. Avoid the digital version for this reason.

So is it canon?

Yeah, it pretty much happened in parallel to the events of Secret Invasion, even showing the scene when the kidnapped heroes return to Earth. Nothing that I can think of happens in the story to contradict its continuity from the regular MU.

Sigh....Still wishing Alpha Flight appeared with those returned heroes.

That's cool, I'll have to look it up. I didn't know he was in there, either, except as a partial Skrull.

edit: I've now read the appearance.
It won't go down in my mind as the Best Appearance EVARRR!

I didn't like the way he was drawn (somebody calls him a wookie, and he looks like one - not a bad thing in itself, but that's not how Sasquatch looks), he's way smaller than he should be, and he was taken out -- and stayed out -- way too easily (which was done for the sake of the story).

I honestly got the impression the writer hadn't ever read Alpha Flight.

Also, as to your spoiler, KM:
1) We've asked about numbers before. This issue puts the numbers at exactly 8.
2) Apart from Sas, I couldn't figure out which one was supposed to be which; nothing distinctive about them fit with what we've seen in the past.
(Also, wasn't it kind of convenient that just happened to be there? We can't make Super Skrulls that fast.)
