Wow, it will take abit to get used to but I really like it. Good job.

I'm still tweaking too. My main focus was to get things generally operational, then get the forum migrated in, and gradually pick away at things. I felt too much was unseen by you all who showed such support, so it was time to get something up-front. :)

Will we be able to upload a custom avatar? That feature seems to be disabled. If possible, can you just import over the avatars we already had on the old site?

Yes, you will be able upload custom. I'm working on importing the old ones, not sure yet how well that will work out

When I click on "Reply to Thread", no reply window opens... I'm forced to write a "quick reply" in order to reply to a thread. This truly sucks.

Overall speaking, I don't like the new forum at all...

the quick reply is there for convenience. If you want to use the full reply otion, you can click "go advanced". I can change this so that it is more like it was before, if that's the general consensus.

I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with how things are Snowdhild. I won't be reverting to the old setup, as the idea behind what you see is making the whole site into one powerful interactive fan-based entity. It is still in development, so please give any suggestions you may have to help me improve it.

Hey Ben,

It's just that I feel the new design is way too "confused". The old forum was based on an elementary scheme, it was far more "easy" to use or "grasp".

STILL, you did an outstanding job, really. An amazing job.

Try to make some details more "Alpha Flight-ish". For instance, when you enter in a sub-forum, I just don't like the "postal letter" avatars marking each thread... I would change those with maple leaves.

Also, there should be more red...

Thanks Snowchild. I was you reminded me to do something I wanted to, with those icons. I was playing with a few ideas for that a few days ago and got sidetracked. I'll also try adding in some more red.

I agree that things are as simple as before, and I am working on simplifying it, however with more options and abilities it's a gradual process to get it all streamlined. Keep the suggestions coming!

ASIDE OF SUGGESTIONS, you're doing a wonderful job and I thank you from the deepest of my heart, really... I bet MARVEL is very angry at you, since you created one hell of a site focused on the creation they hate the most... LOL.

I haven't had much of a chance to get used to it... Been in New Zealand!

One thing that hasn't worked for me today is the old 'view posts since last visit' (can't find the button, or, if it's the 'What's New', it didn't work)...
Still, I'm sure this'll all swim goingly once I'm used to the site.

They all come with cupholders these days. Just press that little button on your tower, and it slides right out...

Also, as may be visible to you guys, I've just re-added my avatar... and it was so much easier!

(Avatar: James Cameron? Or Avatar: The Last Airbender? My vote's the latter.)
