Give up their rights to their own characters who are tied in continuity to at least two of their big-name books? (Hulk and X-Men) I don't see that happening.

Technically, they're Disney's characters now, and The House of Mouse is not known for being loose with the rights to their intellectual property. ;)

Because they don't want Alpha Flight having any dignity left. And that's because Alpha Flight characters are far more cooler than the X-Men, but Marvel must sell its X-Crap over and over again.
