Hmm...interesting, I guess. Or maybe not. Not much of a basketball fan...

.....I would like to purchase this. Is this from the ESPN Magazine, or an actual Marvel comics variant (As the image says)?

Wolverine, you bum! Don't act like you don't know these guys!

Yeah, that is cool, but what is it? I recognise several classic covers in there (is the Alpha one from v3? My mind's blocking that), but at least one is DC.
(Well, the Celtics look like Green Lanterns... Okay they're the FF.)

Is this a special issue that can be bought?

As far as I know it's an actual magazine.

Marvel is just plain weird. Where the Hell is Stan Lee?

I have no idea.
I am looking but I imagine you'll have an easier job finding it than I will, this side of the ocean.

Uh, Phil... You know where I live, don't you?
In that other thread, the Organisation one, I mentioned a herd of kangaroos less than a km from here.
I was serious.
Well, maybe I wasn't serious, but I was telling the truth.

The two of you! I'll see if I can find this magazine here in Federation Space.

If yes, I'll snag extras!

Ok wow yeah this is a pretty cool item. I found a few copies at the local bookstore. It's a special ESPN preview for the NBA, and it has a special section with Marvel variant covers for the basketball teams, some of which are really awesome! I'm very impressed with this item, especially the way the artists re-imagined classic Marvel covers. The images are printed in full color, all high production quality, and on large paper (10"x12", almost as big as the Marvel Treasury Editions) A media gallery can be found here: (http://espnmediazone3.com/rs/pages/search.php?k=97aa969f8a&search=!collection1943&offset=0&order_by=relevance&sort=DESC&archive=0) to see the other covers printed inside.

I'm tempted to buy two and cut the Alpha Flight page out of one and leave it in the other. Hmmm....either way I'm getting a copy I love it.

Cover price is $4.99, just a dollar higher than a typical comic book, so go for it, KM.

I'm kind of impressed/amused that they put Alpha Flight's two canon jocks on that cover. Likely not intentional, but still cute.

Is the front cover that Avengers-style one that's the first image?

So I know what to look for.

I got my copies at Barnes & Noble, a large bookstore near me. It's a chain store, so maybe the have by you. It should be at Borders too.

Borders? Kinky. I hadn't thought of that.
I'll try there, too.

No luck yet, I don't have a Barnes and Noble around me. I went to Chapters and they might be ordering it in for me.

Is it avaliable in Canada?

It's hard to find because I BOUGHT EVERY COPY!!!! No, just kidding but to save on shipping, have a US seller ship to my US box and I'll hold it here for you until NYCC2012.
