Jason Aaron, writer for Wolverine: Road To Hell, reveals some news (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=29090) regarding Puck:

Moving on, Ahab hopes you can help him in his search. Instead of a great white, however, he's looking for a great Flight…

Without giving away the fate of my favorite vertically-challenged Canadian hero (Puck!), is there a chance of seeing other Alpha Flight-related characters in the pages of "Wolverine" anytime soon?

I would love nothing more than to play with some of those Alpha Flight toys. But for now, I'll just say that there are big plans for Puck, both in the pages of "Wolverine" and elsewhere.

that sort of confirms what I've been assuming. Puck with become the villain for AF in the one shot, most likely a pawn of the Chaos King. He's the only original charachter not seen in the solicits.

I don't know, if presented well I could live with Judd going to the dark side.

"big plans"??? does this mean he is growing tall and old again?

I don't think that Puck'll have anything to do with Chaos War.
I imagine that he'll get out of hell with Wolverine at the end of the arc, become a supporting character in the title for a bit and then rejoin an ongoing Alpha title next year.

"This is a full reunion of the core cast. We've got Sasquatch, Northstar, Aurora and Snowbird," McCann stated. "Sharp eyed readers will notice there is a missing name from that list. The character is a very popular member, and that's Puck. That is addressed in the one shot. I can't say much more than that.".

Phil

The fact that it's not a full reunion sounds like he won't be in the book at all.
I took the being addressed as meaning a throw away line to explain that he's not in the one shot because he's in hell.
When the announcement of the oneshot & that interview came out, it hadn't been revealed that it was Puck in Wolverine.

But that's just the way my mind thinks. I'm usually wrong ;)

But it says it is a full reunion, just he hasn't listed Puck's name there.
Just to confuse the pot a little. Now look what it's calling the kettle!

You got me concerned that you were on to something there, until I remembered that the writer of Wolverine said in an interview that Puck was looking to escape Hell. I guess that doesn't preclude him not wanting the rest of his fellow Alphans from being able to escape but if that is truly the case, it will be interesting to know the reasoning behind it...

Flightpath07
10-27-2010, 06:26 PM
I could not fathom Puck as a villain.

Nor could I fathom AF exisitng long-term without Puck on the squad.

Should either of these options turn out to be true, I can't imagine I will be happy about it.

Puck won't be a villain. He'll appear in AF soon enough after he saves Wolverine's butt.

Well, to be fair, they are treating the whole "I have a demon inside of me and so I am long-lived and shrunken" thing as absolute canon, so...if you do not expect Razzor (sp?) to get out at some point and Puck to show up old and NBA-ish, you might want to think again. As long as they go with this reasoning for him being a dwarf, it is likely to pop up again...VERY unfortunately.

Not if they go with the canon of him being genetically mucked with by the Master and then returned to normal by Sasquatch, but with his small size sans Razer so it became the norm for him. But that would require them following continuity...

Asks Jason Aaron in Wolverine #3's recap page (http://marvel.com/images/839341./from/content.story.14534). I assume Puck shows up in this issue.

Most definetly, but I actually read Legerd's post wrong I thought he was saying this is when Puck will first appear.

Ah, okay.

To sum up:
Puck's first appearance in this Wolverine run is towards the end of #2, promising bigger things in #3.

Sorry, I only meant I assumed he would appear in this issue as he was mentioned in the recap. And since there was a pic of him and Logan in the recap I kinda assumed he'd already shown up. But I don't like to assume.

I got a copy and yes, Puck shows up. Just on one page. Still in Hell. He just sorts of says hi and then leaves.

RU kidding? I was going to actually make a special trip to pick this issue up. If you're serious, than I'm not bothering.
Why would they make such a big deal in the solicit only to do this?

I'm playing it down a bit but yeah he just meets up with Logan, greets him, tells him not to give up and then leaves, nothing really dramatic or anything.

He does say "eh" once, if that helps.

He just leaves the hillside where Logan is being tortured. Something like a thousand years of that has to pass first. Hopefully Aaron will fast forward through most of the thousand years of torture before issue #4. Puck indicates that he's going off to go do something to help, so yeah, it's likely that in issues #4 and #5 he will be helping out. I'm thinking that the doorway back to the real world by which Daimon Hellstrom intends to bring Logan's soul back is going to open for Puck as well, dunno whose body they gonna use to contain Puck's soul though.

Very disappointing.
I passed. Between the cost of books and how difficult it is for me to read them these days, a one page appearance with a pep talk doesn't make the grade for purchase. SO glad I skimmed it before bringing it home to read.

But which one? I'm more partial to the red headed version myself and she has worked for the Canadian gov't.
Maybe Pip the Troll---similar size, similar hair quotient, same predilection for smoking cigars, same red hair... oh...wait, well the first three things I mentioned are similar. Besides, Smart Alec's bod was squished in the fight between Walt/Snowbird and Box. Which in my opinion was one of the STUPIDEST treatments of a character in Alpha ever (the way they made Bochs snap not Smart Alec---who also snapped, sort of).

You know, we could all write very thick books on the stupid treatment of Alpha Flight characters...with all the stupid treatments to choose from, are you positive that this is the stupidest? If you'd like, I'll give you five or six millenia to look over your choices...

Ha!
Just came across this (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=12948) from 2 years ago;

Will we see any Alpha Flight characters in "Get Mystique" (or any upcoming story arcs)?

'Fraid not. I thought they all got killed anyway? But if you wanna start a petition to bring back Puck, I'll sure as hell sign it.

That's either a hilarious coincidence or Aaron's one hell of a forward planner...

LOL, I found this (http://www.comicbookresources.com/prev_img.php?pid=7141&pg=3) today in the preview for Shadowhawk. They use various heroes as earlier versions of Shadowhawk, including a Puck version. He even has a big "SH" on his chest.
