Hey all. Just wanted to touch base about the icky financial details of the site. In the past you have all been so very generous, and I want to thank you for that! Today I renewed the domain hosting package for an other 3 years with the current company, as I've been very happy with the up-time and over-all preformance. It's possible some upgrades to the account will be needed down the road if AF gets some increased popularity to allow for increased traffic, but all is good for now. As you all know...I'm poor #-o I've added the "Donate" tab back to the site, just 'till the hosting renewal is covered, then all take it down. Anything you all can contribute is SOOOOOOO appreciated!

Thanks,

Ben

Ben, what is the fundraising goal to cover the hosting renewal?

Love,
rplass

$304.35 USD is my total goal. That covers hosting fees, services and domain renewal for the next 3 years.

OK well that sounds do-able. Like last time, please make sure to remove the donation button once the goal has been reached.

the up-time and over-all preformance

Preformance; 1) How something is, before it is formed. 2) A non-word that spellcheck does not catch?

I'd noticed the donate button up there.

Wish I had money right now to give... I mean, I keep using this forum, but never help out. :(

You're in Canada Ben, you should have said you don't have spellcheque. [-X

EDIT TO ADD: Um, I'm not sure if my eyes are bad or what, but I'm not seeing a donate button on the page.

To Mik: You donate every day with you contributions in the forum, and in the articles you write!

To Everyone!: Thank you all so much for helping me reach that goal so very quickly! There is some serious generosity out there! For those of you who feel they want to contribute, but didn't get a chance to this time, or like me are short on funds, please know that I put real stock in all forms of contribution for the site. This includes discussions on the forum, article contributions, alphanex work, and everything else that makes this site work. Now that I'm done summer work I'll soon have time to start some new improvements to the site. I have to get my head on strait and I'll be looking at what needs doing, and will form a game plan. I'll keep you all abreast to upcoming updates! Thank you all for making AF.net such a success!
