The apparent children of Flashback (Gardner Monroe), identified as Jenny and Malcolm Monroe appear as part of one of Fury's ill-fated earlier teams of Secret Warriors. They don't make it out of the book alive unfortunately (none of the characters introduced in this issue do), but I thought their introduction was pretty neat for what it was worth.

Cool! Flashback was an awesome character, all hail John Byrne!
Nice spotting!
Was there an image of Flashback at all, or just mention of him?

It's played very slyly. If you were not aware of your Alpha history you wouldn't know. They're simply called the Monroe twins and they live in Calgary. They are dressed in Flashback's colours (not his costume, mind you, but black and white formal wear) and exhibit his powers, but he and Alpha are not explicitly mentioned.

Shame they didn't make it and survive....
Yeah, comicvine seems to support your logic, so I guess it's pretty much official :D

Nobody stays dead in comics.
Yeah but when they're made to just die and die in the very issue they're introduced in, there's little hope. Especially if tied to an obscure character like Flashback.
I mean technically, easy enough for them to still be alive; if, like Flashback, it was some future version of themselves was killed, and their normal bodies are elsewhere.

Exactly what i was thinking. Should somebody desire to use them in the future, they can.
I haven't read the issue in question, so could there be the chance for more pre-death flashbacks of them in the rest of the arc?

Yeah its definetly Flashback's kids, and they actually looked kind of cool.
It's iffy if they came back, as Nick Fury's son died in the same explosion but we shall see.

Photobucket for the suxo0rz. I was about to reply and quote asking for a link to the thread, or even uploading the picture to this thread - when I saw you had a link to Photobucket. It's still trying to download and I am on a 1GB connection.
Opened the photobucket link in a new window so it will hopefully one day load. Been seeing ALL kinds of issues with photobucket of late.

Oh its not the whole issue, just one panel. I'll reduce the quality then

edit: now thinking about it perhaps the team dying is a trick to get Hydra to go after Fury like they did in the end of the issue *shrugs*

I can see right down Jenny's shirt in that pic. Totally. She's getting fashion advice from Harvey Talibao, I see.

In her defense, that's actually a dress, as opposed to a costume that she's supposed to be running around fighting in. I take no offense to excessive cleavage when it makes sense. XD

I'm all for excessive cleavage! But I did give her a more modest look by removing one line near her left boob:

Wow... so did Flashback have some money? Seems like he could with his future self and such... Because they look like Rich Kids.

I've just started reading Secret Warriors and in the back of #1 it has a bunch of infographics, one of which includes:

So it looks like Hickman had them planned from the start!

That's very interesting. So 24 issues is 2 years back. And nice bump!
Yeah, slightly random I know, but I've been using the MCU digital app lately so checking up on things I've never bought.

Oh good eye and that's very interesting.
Could we see the Monroe's onscreen?

Anything's possible. That springs out of the season finalé (which I just saw two days ago), where they decide to form a super team.
Which could be cool, but I'm expecting all low-lever characters (effects are expensive!); I don't know if I should expect costumes (they did say secret IDs, though).
There's no reason to either expect or not expect the Monroes out of that.

It's possible just because it's an interesting power and veeeeeery easy to do. Except would be a little similar looking to the sheild triplets.
