We know Jason Aaron's a fan of the Byrne run (mentioned in interviews and his use of Puck) so maybe we'll see them in the actual storyline and not just on the cover?

I'm... not sure a sister should be holding her brother that way...

Xander: I think the student exchange program is cool. It's a beautiful melding of two cultures.
Buffy: Have you ever done an exchange program?
Xander: My dad tried to sell me to some Armenians once. Does that count?

Well, it was drawn by Frank Cho after all! :-)

Are you saying Frank Cho lets his sister hold him like that?

Oh yeah they are to the left of ROGUES BOOBS! Wow, they are enormous in that image. Just... wow....

Agree with Rob...ginormous.

Perhaps we could get her an exclusive alphaflight.net interview, and find out?

Interesting that Aurora's suddenly appearing among the X-Men. Since the theme of the series is that the X-Men are going to be divided over methods in leadership, I wonder if she and Northstar are going to wind up on opposite sides again.

I dunno. Shouldn't the two elves stick together?

Proof that Northstar has spent too much time in the south. :P

Sorry, Deliverance was on the other day.

Yes, cos two elves make a whole, I learnt that in maths.

See, this is how a sister holds a brother:

Great, now I've got a down-home country boy with no teeth who only plays the banjo stuck in my head.
He's joined up with Paul McCartney, who's still running from the dragons.

So what makes a right again?

Calvin: I think we've got enough information now, don't you?

Well, them saying "screw you we're going back to Alpha Flight and we'll leave the X-men Civil War to you," would certainly be considered a schism.

Grr.

From the looks of it they've trimmed the Schism variants, so now we have Northstar on the Variant to #2 & Aurora on #3:

Well if the original poster were to be sliced into 5 equal parts then yes, the twins get split up. Here is a map with the likely borders and issue numbers.

I don't think anything has been trimmed. Did you see a cover with both twins on it?

Phil, if THAT image is the one they use, then they have made a conscious effort to include both twins on the cover (and also intentionally exclude Iceman's butt from what would be the right edge of the image!!). Notice how Colossus is shifted to the right, not dead center as is clearly indicated on the divided map I created. I hope they use this image as it makes more sense than dividing the twins in half and showing part of Iceman's butt sticking out of the page.

Yeah, I saw the same thing - I'm still hoping that's not an actual scan of a cover, and that the actual image as published is shifted so as not to bisect Northstar's head.

trying to communicate with the Sentinel's mechanical brain than just rip it apart with his technomorph powers. Then suddenly they got taken out before he could give it a go. Otherwise Jeffries could have easily blown it apart. oh well.

If the writers have forgotten his power or can't use him without knocking him out in every issue he appears in, then they need to relinquish their stranglehold on the character.

btw, have we ever solved the mystery (if it was one) of whether Madison is Canadian or not? I don't think he is (but then why was he in Beta Flight originally?).

-K-M-
09-22-2011, 06:12 PM
He was born in Canada, never stated where in Canada though. I didnt realise people were discussing if he was Canadian or not.

Well, if by 'people' you mean 'Flightpath', then...yes, they are.

Phil

I'd never given it any thought as to him not being Canadian, especially after serving in the army.

Alphan East
09-23-2011, 08:37 AM
I'm thinking the confusion is based on Madison's bio, which states that both he and his brother Lionel fought in the Vietnam War. However, quite a few Canadians went south of the border to join the U.S. military so they could participate in Vietnam.
He's always been portrayed as a Canadian character.

DelBubs
09-23-2011, 09:24 AM
In Vol 1 #30 page 16, it states that Maddison and his brother were just two of the thousands of Canadians who joined the US Army during The Vietnam war. Maddy did it to escape his power, Lionel to employ his.

cmdrkoenig67
09-23-2011, 01:55 PM
Funnily enough, the Vietnam part of his origin would make him over 60 years old (I would imagine it would be the same for the Punisher?). Maybe they'll retcon at some point to update it, if it's ever brought up again.

...And yes, he's Canadian.

I don't think he hates Canada, but I get your meaning...Unfortunately, the X-offices don't want to share.

Isn't it a general rule that time moves differently in the X-verse? I hate retconing of already well established character bios. As far as any of us are concerned, Vietnam in the MU happened a year or two ago. Otherwise all the heroes established in the 60's are geezers.
