Any one have a favourite moment from a comic. One that sticks in the mind years after reading it. I have the two that stand out. The panel in UXM #139 where Nightcrawler jumps up onto Wolverine like a frightened child, when Snowbird appears and the panel in 'The Death of Captain Marvel' where he walks off into the light with Death & Thanos.

One of my favorites is the confrontational "trial" in Alpha Flight #25 when Northstar declares that he sees no one present that he acknowledges to have authority to pass judgment over him, and then rips everyone apart. Just one of the best scenes I've ever read.

Alpha Flight # 5, where the badly wounded Puck leaps on top of a cabinet (?) in the hospital to avoid being seen, and later rides on the roof of the van. THAT is a true hero! Trying to hold his guts in with one hand, he still gets the job done!

Oh, yeah, that's a great moment!

I've always remembered his line from that. "Is this to be a trial, then? If so, I see no-one here with the authority to judge me."
I remember it badly, but I remember it.

Mine... Snowbird's famous fight with Tanaraq springs to mind.
Or the Young Justice cover with Empress threatening some unseen opponent with: "Hello. My name is Empress. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
Kings to Peter David for that one!

Hulk Annual # 8, when Walter/Sasquatch, having learned that he isn't stronger than the Hulk, puts the nurse aside/out of the way and braces himself for the final confrontation...

Oooo, I know! How about that scene in New Avengers, where...ah, nevermind. Can't seem to find the panel I am thinking of...I wonder why?

I can't quite remember the issue number but it was the Captain America issue (drawn by Byrne) where Cap deCAPitates Baron Blood. The image is in shadow except for Union Jack facing the action with a total look of shock on his face. The fact that his face is covered by a mask and you can still see the shock on it was terrific.

Hmm... I've never noticed the etymological connection between 'cap' (meaning 'head') and 'captain'... I wonder if there is one.

Anyway, you speak of #254:

My only fav from AF vol III was when Sasquatch trying to eplaine what's happened with the whole time travelling thing and asked Shaman for some place quite, Shaman just says "Shush" and everything stops.

I'm probably going to suck at specifics like issue but:

The entire scene in Green Lantern/Green Arrow #76 that sets the tone for the heavy stuff it would handle.

http://www.comicbookbin.com/images/bubble/greenlantern76.jpg

When Ganthet left the Guardians and joined the Green Lanterns as an actual lantern. Yeah, I had a nerd moment there.

The entire Mall-fight scene in the West Edmonton Mall. Just one of the most epic battles of the entire Alpha Flight run.

I can't think of any other ones at the moment

Off the top of my head...

Alpha Flight V1 #13 - Heather's Nightmare about Mac's funeral, and the cover depicting it, made me an Alpha Flight (and comics in general) fan for life

New Warriors V1 #26 - Vance Astro's going to prison, Firestar tries to bust him out of his prison transport, and she offers herself to him, but he tells her he wants to wait, because she's worth waiting for.

Uncanny X-Men #281 - Near the end of the issue, Jean's about to be taken out, and that wild desperate look she has as she's trying to find a way out of her predicament (I won't say what it was or how she survives if you haven't read that story yet, but it continues in #282 and #283).

X-Men (1991) #8 - The picnic with Rogue getting pied in the face was beautiful. I never really thought super-heroes could be funny before this issue. To be honest, I'm still laughing, because I think Rogue really would kill me if she had the chance (and, y'know, was real).

Silver Surfer V3 #1 - The Surfer finally escapes his imprisonment on Earth.

Star Wars (Marvel) #81 - Boba Fett escapes the Sarlacc Pit only to fall back in despite Han's best efforts to save him.

Star Trek (DC) V1 #9-16 - I had seen a few episodes on tv, but I really came to love Star Trek because of the movies and the comics that depicted what went on between the movies. The "return" of the Mirror Universe (which I hadn't actually seen on TV yet) cemented the awesomeness of the franchise for me.

So many more, and so many entire runs or series that I want to include, but those aren't really "moments", so I'll hold off on those for now...

That Vance Astro arc rounded off nicely what I think is the best New Warriors stories ever. Been good ones since, but those first issues by FabNic are classics.

Oh and BTW welcome to the forums. Should have welcomed you earlier, but I'm ignorant

As long as we are talking non-Alpha, THIS ONE has to be right at the top! Priceless!

Hey gursikh11, welcome to the board! Which issue is that scene from? Honestly all I know about Blade I've learned from Wesley Snipes...

So many over my three decades of collecting, so I just closed my eyes and this is the first one to pop into my head.

The scene in Incredible Hulk #372 when, after years of turning into the gray Hulk, the original bestial green Hulk literally rips out of Bruce Banner's skin.

And of course the end of Alpha Flight Vol. 1 #12, as I'm sure just about everyone here would put that in their list.

The very last page of Amazing Spider-Man #238 when the original Hobgoblin is first seen in his entirety (and the comic book that started me collecting!).

Isn't it from the Snipes movie?
