So, I stumbled onto this little gem while wandering around the worldwide web today.

1128

The image apparently came out in an NBA preview with the following caption:

"Alpha Flight is a team of obscure superheroes from Canada. The same could be said of The Raptors -- minus the superheroes part. Marvel figured the eight-foot sasquatch and speedy Northstar (shown sporting a No. 96 jersey) could give Toronto a boost on D: The Raptors allowed a league-worst 119 points per 100 possessions with starters Andrea Bargnani (7) and Jose Calderon (8) on the floor. High-flying DeMar DeRozan (10) might be the team's next star -- which means he'll fly the coop as soon as he can."

It was posted on the site below last year (Oct 21, 2010). Not sure anyone had seen it. Good for a chuckle.

Thanks.
We had seen it, but it's always good to get a heads-up. Plus, we've had new members since then.

Yes, and I posted a little tidbit about it here. (http://alphaflightcollector.wordpress.com/2011/01/24/sasquatch-and-northstar-trade-rumors/)

Ah, it was under ESPN, I searched for Raptors and nothing came up. :)

Great article, rplass!
