Casting ALPHA FLIGHT

hey, kids,:D

how are we doing? given all the X-MEN films out there, I was wondering if/when MARVEL
might do an ALPHA FLIGHT film. I'd be curious as to what they could do. an Origins film
where Heather and Mac form the team, a film where a member (JP?) sells out the team.
anyhoo, I saw that one of our members works for a production team so I was wondering
if he knew of any AF films out or on the horizon and who would be cast. I came up with
a list of possibilities. comments and other ideas are welcome. we have:

Heather Hudson/Vindicator: Trish Stratus

I would have thought Fillion would be perfect for Mac, he's got the square jaw needed for Guardian, although his wit is more in tune with Walter. I suppose either could work.

As for Heather, if you're going for a WWE Diva, wouldn't Mickie James be a better choice? Her frame is not quite as muscular as Trish's and would be more in line with Heather's body. She'd look adorable in glasses, too. Alternatively, I know it's a bit out of left field, but how about Jayma Mays?

I love your picks for Jeffries and Lil, pure awesome.

For Talisman, I love Gail Kim, and it's not as if she gets to wrestle much these days, but she's not tall and skinny enough to be Talisman. How about Grace Park?

Oh, and you didn't list him, but for Puck, I once saw someone online suggest Peter Dinklage. I could definitely see that...

Sort of works better if you put in head shots of the actors and actresses and/or links for names. I sadly admit I cannot place half of those names!

I did not know that. to answer as to those you don't know Trish and Gail are WWE
Divas. Nathan is from FIREFLY and CASTLE. Bianca is a fetish model you can see in
magazines such as O and SKIN TWO. Micheal is of course the singer. as for Josh, I think
he's from DAWSON'S CREEK. hope that helps.

I posted this thread on another forum and someone there was not impressed with Mr. Renyolds
as Guardian. anyway, I just thought of another possibility for Talisman. Irene Bedard from
POCHAHONTAS (and whatever else) can't think of anyone for SHAMAN though. any ideas?

Yes she is very easy on the eyes and I'm sure a very fine actress but don't you think that Talisman should be played by an Aboriginal (Native) rather than an East Indian? BTB my choice for Guardian and Vindicator would still be Yannick Bisson and Helene Joy from the Murdoch Mysteries T.V. show. They have a really good screen chemistry together already.

I think Russel Hainz would make a perfect Puck (he would just need to be shrunk down a bit like they did with the Hobbits a la Lord of the Rings. His smile gives his face the exact same look as Puck had in Byrne's solo issue #5.

Yes first nation is another term for North American indians. Calling them idians ( I think) is rather dergitory and if you refer to them as America Indians, well lets just say it gets rather confusing, just like the time Apu got his citizenship on the Simpsons. I had spent some time in the Artic where I was the visible minortiy, I'm of a non-visible minority when I'm in Toronto, which kind of sucks because no one sees me.

I discovered him when I saw the Hogfather, where he's the polite, eloquent psychotic Assassin Mr. Teatime. He definitely plays creepy or unhinged particularly well.

I wanted to post a clip of him in action as Mr. Teatime, but I wasn't finding any quality vids. I usually hate Christmas movies, but I definitely recommend the Hogfather. Any movie in which the Grim Reaper dresses as Santa and there's a psychopath out to assassinate the real Santa has got to be worth your time, don't you think? :D

joseph gordon levitt is from alot of movies. recently he was in inception and he is in the new batman movie. he was also the doctor a.k.a. cobra in the g.i. joe movie and he was in older stuff like 10 things i hate about you and 3rd rock from the sun. and for amanda she would be good for snowbird but i think her eyes fit marrina better.

I think 10 Things is where I know him best from.
Either Snowbird or Marrina would probably have to have their eyes covered up in prosthetics (or CG, in Snowbird's case). Amanda could make a good recent Marrina based on that picture, though.
