It could very well be.

Looks like a bit of a stretch to me. But, interesting nonetheless.

I may pick this one up today.

I haven't read it, so I don't know which one it is, but there's been a Scarecrow in the MU for a long time. Big Daredevil foe, iirc.

"Wrote a song, it was wrong from it`s very first conception
Seemed I struggled on every line
It wasn`t fast, wasn`t pretty, wasn`t serious or witty
The song that didn`t rhyme
The band couldn`t wing it, the singer couldn`t sing it
The Drummer's always out of time
The DJ`s were offended, my union card suspended
Billboard declared it a crime
The melody blows in a key that no one can find
The lyrics don`t flow but I can`t get it out of my mind
A three minute waste of your time
On a song that didn`t rhyme
It was bland, it was boring, all the groupies there were snoring
The first time we played it live
All the record guys got fired, the president retired
But somehow the song survived
The melody blows in a key that no one can find
The lyrics don`t flow but I can`t get it out of my mind
The melody blows in a key that no one can find
The lyrics don`t flow but I can`t get it out of my mind
A three minute waste of your time
No redeeming value of any kind
But thanks for the twelve ninety nine
On a song that didn`t rhyme"

I did pick up Green Arrow, after all. Haven't had a chance to read it yet.

(FP - you know I know that song! ;) The concert was excellent, btw.)

In Green Arrow #2, one character goes by the name Alpha.

Okay, so maybe it IS some sort of honouring of John Byrne's creations, then.

My "bit of a stretch" comments were more directed towards the post title itself.

Alpha didn't join the team (though he originally wanted to), but he was a big part of the story.

Currently, there is some debate as to whether Alpha Flight are, as well!

Having read issue 1, I would never have picked up that they were Alpha connected if it hadn't been pointed out to me. (Of course, I never would have read it, but...)

That said, I enjoyed the issue.
I even liked *gasp* some of the colouring!

No debate with them, as they filmed killing Alpha and put it online. Now they hope to do the same thing to Green Arrow.

And you think that resolves debate about whether they're heroic?
How long have you been away from comics?

Plus, have you seen the colour palates they use? All dark and dreary... ;)
