Below I reprint the email i just fired off to this site. Use it at your own risk!

Hey,

I am a long-time user of this site to order comics...and I am VERY displeased. Lately, your customer service has gone downhill, to the point where I now tell friends in my online comics communities to NOT use your service. Already displeased, I now find that i dislike your new website to the extreme. It is clunky, hard to use, hard to find what you want to find; moreover, you seem to have foolishly deleted all of your customer accounts! WHy would i wish to continue to use your service? Maybe you can enlighten me as to what is "good" about this website service, before I take my business elsewhere, after many years of faithful service. Because, right now, all I am seeing is poor customer service and poor business decisions. Why would I entrust my future business deals to a company who has erased or lost my account information? Am i supposed to create a new account after all these years, and then not be able to see the previous orders I have placed over the last few months? Is this supposed to instill confidence in your customers?

Really, I'd like to know what the heck is going on there at your company!

Sincerely,

A completely dissatisfied and unhappy customer

Recently (as in, today) hooked up with a nice fellow in Thunder Bay Ontario by the name of Rob Quinn, who runs everythingcomics.ca (http://www.everythingcomics.ca/) . Very nice fellow, very helpful, and he now has both my business and my full support. Please click the link and check out his site, and recommend it to anybody in need.

It's good that you've got another place to replace the old one.

Definitely. Rob has been a class act so far, I am really impressed. Hill City Comics in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Them other guys? They were so concerned about my concerns, they never even got back to me. Their loss, not mine; means they lose about $800/year in business! (and, i expect with "service" like theirs, they'll be losing a lot more real soon!) Four years of doing business with them, and I get treated like dirt.

On another note, good to be getting my comics from within my own country again! And, nice to avoid my comic orders getting busted coming over the border twice a year or more, costing me several extra weeks wait each time plus a tariff of about $30 a shot!

Mailordercomics.com shut down their email addresses. All email sent to them, gets returned to sender immediately. They still refuse to respond to me. I have contacted them, through their website, three times now; no response.

Their website still insists that i am a new customer, and all my account information is now long gone. That includes the two months worth of comics that i ordered, paid for, and never got shipped.

Please warn ANYBODY and EVERYBODY you know, to stay away from this website! They have screwed me out of about $150 in merchandise, including my copies of Alpha Flight # 4 , which i will now probably have to pay an arm and a leg to try to get!

Nothing but a bunch of crooks.

Sounds like that's no longer an issue.

FP, I can send you a copy of #4 if you can't get hold of one elsewhere.

Thanks Phil! I'll keep that in mind...though shipping from the UK won't be the cheapest way to go, I'm sure. In the meantime, today I'll be scouring the net, seeing who might have a "back issue" of # 4 for a decent price.

Well...i found one, and ordered it. "Decent price" may be a stretch, but desperate times call for desperate measures. $30 later (which includes shipping from the US to Canada), and all I have to do is wait for my issue # 4 to arrive! Oh, and although i paid a horrible fee for it, it proves two things; (a) a sucker is born every minute (that's me!), and (b) Alpha Flight is in high demand and is selling out pretty much everywhere.

Oh, and thanks to this expensive order, issue # 4 will be my first Variant Cover!

Now, if only it arrives sometime in the next month or so...SIGH...

The things we Flight fans do to get our fix!

Are there not any comic book shops in Kelowna?

Sadly, in a town of 100,000, there is only one that sells new comics. And there has never been an issue of Alpha Flight that even makes it to the shelves. Even the super-popular titles, only get about three issues onto the shelves there. The store makes most of their money off of remote-control cars and planes.
