Notice both Wolverine and Nightcrawler appear to have a Maple Leaf design on their uniforms like Guardian.

Storm's cape resembles Snowbirds'.

Okay. That's...intriguing. And more than a little confusing.

Thanks, Sasquatch17

The article also says, " The below art was indeed made by one of the artists on the show but doesn't necessarily confirm that this will be the look of the characters on the show or if characters such as Black Goliath and The Watcher will appear. It's more like concept art. "

For the clueless:

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is an American animated television series by Marvel Animation in cooperation with Film Roman based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. The show debuted on Disney XD in Fall 2010 starting with a 20 part micro-series.

Marvel Entertainment, LLC and Disney XD have announced that a "new Marvel Universe" programming block which includes Season 2 of Avengers and animated Ultimate Spider-Man series will begin broadcasting in April 2012.

The series initially features a team based on the roster for the original Avengers, composed of Iron Man, Giant-Man, Hulk, Thor, and the Wasp. The team is later joined by Captain America, Black Panther, and Hawkeye. In terms of tone and style, the series is based primarily on the original stories by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. However, it also tends to utilize material from all eras of the comic's run and other sources such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Does look interesting. Maybe Alpha Flight is more of a mutant team in The Avengers?

Perhaps that art is from an episode where the Avengers go to another universe? After all, Dr. Pym is not the Giant Man in that picture, Wasp's costume is different than that of season 1, and Rogue and Storm have variations of costumes never seen before in comics. Yes, i realize the art was conceptual only, but I am just trying to surmise what pre-conception the artist was working with when creating the characters looking that way.

Well, it'd be great if they did show up. I really enjoyed season 1!
Even if it's just Sas in a cameo.

I loved Season 1, but having AF in season 2 would make it even more kickass!!!

Aww, typo! I meant camisole!

The way this drawing is set up, with the X-Men dressed as AF, that could be Colossus! :)

Sadly, it doesn't look like there will be an AF appearance. In the comments someone addressed the "X-men Flight" image.

The "Canadian X-Men" image is indeed just fan art created by one of the show's artists. He did it as a thank you for working on season 2. Here's his quote.

"Portfolio: Avengers EMH crew Gift Poster…
Hey Folks. This is a crew poster I did for the folks I worked with on “The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” upon the completion of my duties when we wrapped preproduction on episode 52. Sort of a “What If” scenario that was never addressed in the show. I had a good time working on that production and so I drew this for my friends with whom I enjoyed working.

Cheers."

Boo!

Maybe we can convince him to post up a larger sized image of that art, at least?

Or make them film that episode anyway?

Hmm... I wonder if that means Cowtool's cable will start recording shows starting with 'A' again? When I sent him this thread, he told me it'd broken down and wouldn't...

Oh that blows! I was SO excited to see AF in the cartoon ;( How can they expect Alpha Flight to ever become more popular comic wize when they do not give their characters a chance to grow in other medias too ;( Kids watch TV now, not read comics. One of the Alpha Flight members (not Wolverine) growing on TV would def help.

I agree with your sentiment. Someone find the thread about Alpha Flight on animated X-Men shows! There are three episodes with Alpha Flight in the X-Men series and one with Sasquatch in the Hulk series. But they were guest stars. They should certainly have their own show.

I've seen those ones. I guess what I meant was at least one member of AF, other than Wolverine, that would be a regular on the show, allowing the character to have dimensons (strenghts, weaknesses, background, fears, etc), so most people watching the show now would fall in love with them just like we did.

For the Record:
X-Men:
Repo Man
Slave Island
Child of Light

...though the second was just the twins and the last just a cameo.

The Hulk was called something like The Beast and The Monster, or This Man, This Monster or something...
It was terrible. :(

It's at the top, just below the thread name, on the left hand side.
It's the last item on the page to load so may take a few secs more than usual, but it is there.
