New (old) appearance:
In the 80's graphic novel Silver Surfer: The Enslavers, they have a Northstar's elbow style cameo.
At the very end, there's a scene with 'all the superheroes in the world' congratulating the Surfer:
2449
2448
You can make out four of them (I'm not as certain about Marrina - if she hadn't been with AF, I wouldn't have thought it was her), but the others are pretty sure.

Very interesting discovery. It looks like this graphic novel was published in early 1990 but all the teams and costumes look like they're from 1983/1984. Is this a non continuity story?

Depending when this came out, that "Marrina" could just as easily be Elizabeth Twoyoungmen. Also, the hair-blob (its blue, leading me to beleive it is light coloured hair, perhaps blonde?) directly below Snowbird's yellow hair could easily be Walter Langkowski.

According to the special features, it was the longest graphic novel at the time (I assume that means 'original graphic novel printed by Marvel') and took 7-8 years to draw. So, I was noticing early-80s groupings all throughout.

It's... controversial. It seems to be written as if it's continuity - except! - the Marvel Universe acts as if they've never seen aliens before. Which is really weird with all those heroes there, expeshally Surfer, who Reed recognises as soon as he sees him.
(I think that part's more a 'didn't think it through' moment than out-of-continuity proof.)
Either way, it's out of its time.

There isn't enough information, but the blob of hair you refer to looks to me more like a woman's hair than Sas. If it is him, it's his arm or something (way too low to be his head.)
The colouring in that part is wack - I wouldn't have recognised Guardian (or the others) if I hadn't recognised Snowbird. The person facing away from us (towards Birdie's cape, same colour as it) could also be Marrina.
I think the drawing here happened before Talisman was introduced (despite publication date), and also my 'Marrina' has the eyes for it. Though I'm a little surprised the drawing was late enough to include even her.
(That said, it's hard to say when any particular part of the GN was drawn.)

Having re-read it, it's definitely in-continuity. It even has a 'See FF #72' caption.

Sorry. Exipeshally.

Might as well add it to the appearances page, Phil.
Apologies, I thought I had done at the time.
On it now.

And I'm very happy to have found a mint copy at NYCC 2012! Dust jacket in perfect shape too. Wow. Thanks for the tip and thanks to Brett at Brett's Comic Pile for bringing it all the way up from Virginia!
