Quick question for anyone that's got a copy of this -
2461
Any idea where the image used for Northstar comes from?
I can't pin it down off the top of my head.
I'm thinking a trading card, but am probably wrong...

It's from two places:
Marvel Masterpieces #2 Jun 1993
The art is from the front of card #69 of the Marvel Masterpieces 1992 collection. Art by Joe Jusko.
Here's a pic of what the heck Phil is talking about: http://alphaflight.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=1633&c=158
And this is actually a very funny question because years ago when I first got a copy, I went through it and took extensive notes on all the Alpha Flight entries and made a chart for each character and the source of the illustrations. Who knew years later someone would ask!?!!

Usually, you ARE a card.
Nice one Rob, cheers mate.
I can sleep at night without having to dig out all my cards now - it was really bugging me!

It's spelled 'cad'.

Whereas I'll probably dig out mine, just to check.

No need to dig out cards. The set was reprinted in comic book format in 1993, with full page reproductions of the fronts of the little cards. That's the first listing I mentioned. Here is a link (http://www.comicbookdb.com/issue.php?ID=41422)

Of course! I don't know if I have the original card (still haven't checked), but I do have that.

I loved getting those cards when I was a kid. I have that card somewhere.

I've finally checked, and I'm pretty sure I don't have it. :(
But I do have that 'comic' that collects it.

Maybe on the weekend I'll drag out my cards folders and copies of Marvel Masterpieces...
Or maybe not.
