Yeah, if it's an official translation, they probably have original artwork to work with.

Cheers yet again Rob!
Just doing another routine sweep of ebay and came across this:
2633
Kinda hard to make out and I can't seem to find any info on the title/image anywhere else online.
Original art or custom?

I'm gonna go with original, just looking at it.
This is based more on educated guesswork than anything:
They look very 90s, when there were a lot of trading cards around, and we've established I don't know much about that, so I could be wrong when I say I don't remember anything official that looked like that. (Well, the 'I don't remember' part is right, but the 'there weren't any' could be wayyy wrong.)
(I think they're trading cards, not comics.)
BUT:
That Black Bolt / Medusa card looks like it's trying to imitate Alan Davis's style without going through all the trouble of actually being him.
The Alpha Flight line-up is from the end of Byrne's run, and was long gone by the 90s; so it seems unlikely they'd make a card of them. I'd expect either the original 8 (with Aurora in her black-and-whites), or the current team (which, I believe, was halfway through Mantlo's changes by then).
A second look reveals the language is Spanish (or maybe Italian), so they might be official European trading cards. The comics were translated late enough for that.

My bad; I didn't include the link:

I thought they were translated reprints/trades as they looked like having a spine to them, but the title bits do seem holographic so they could well be trading cards...

Yeah, they do look like comics in the links. It is going through the 'books' section.
(And I'm going with Spanish now that I see more of the language.)
... the cover price (which trading cards never have) is in Spanish Pesatas, I believe.
It's probably a translation, but one of our European members should answer.

Love that cover art.

I took that as a price of 450 Pesetas.

I didn't know, so I googled 'ptas currency' and got Spanish pesatas.
450 pages would be HUGE, and I don't think the spine we see is that big.

I still vote for 450 pages. I mean think about it, what's cooler, 450 pages of El Alpha Flighto in Spanish or having to pay 450 pesetas (http://coinmill.com/ESP_calculator.html#ESP=450) for a comic book?

Well, that's in 1998 dollars. Today it would cost you $4.86AU
And I found out that it's a 56pg book published in 1998:
Title:MARVEL HEROES ESPECIAL, ALPHA FLIGHTAuthor:LOBDELL, SCOTT (http://www.prospero.hu/katalogus/kereso/search.html?kotestipus=0&szerzo=LOBDELL+SCOTT) , FORMAN, SIMON (http://www.prospero.hu/katalogus/kereso/search.html?kotestipus=0&szerzo=FORMAN+SIMON) , BR (http://www.prospero.hu/katalogus/kereso/search.html?kotestipus=0&szerzo=)ISBN13:9788439573401ISBN10:8439573405Publi sher:Planeta-De AgostiniDate of publication:1998 May 01 (although I doubt it came out exactly on May 1st which was a Friday)Type:PaperbackScope:56 pages
Looks pretty cool... Next time I'm in Spain I'll be sure to snag a copy.

Nice detective work!

It could have done.
Until 2011 the UK received comics on Thursday and the rest of Europe Friday.

Today it'd cost me Euros...
Interesting. The team pictured was before the Lobdell era.

Interesting. The team pictured was before the Lobdell era.
Remember, Lobdell first wrote the book from circa #102 through...109(?), followed by Furman. The 56 page book probably covered the end of the former's run and the beginning of the latter's...
...Though, now that I looked at the cover again after I posted, I see that you're right...the picture looks like from the late Byrne era team.

Yeah - that's what I meant. Mostly originals, gold Aurora, Shaman's still green.
... Actually, it's got gold Aurora (Au Au?) and Guardian, so that makes no sense... unless it's a certain storyline around #s 25-27.
(edit: Not with Sasquatch there, it doesn't. And he's orange, and Snowbird's there, too.)

Good point - that is the Furman period.
The costuming's still off, though; Mac didn't wear the Maple Leaf in that one, and I don't remember Au Aurora in the Furman period (am I misremembering? It's possible).
