My work is moving office, so a couple of days ago I was asked to put together some archives boxes, that came without instructions.
Using all my experience folding comics boxes, it was relatively easy...
But then I remembered the time one of my bosses had asked me to check out a nearby op-shop and tell them if they were selling a batch of comics too cheap... and the time I'd been asked to figure out how out-of-date Google Streetview is - so I phoned up my LCS and asked them when they'd moved around the corner (Streetview showed their old address).

I realised that the fact that I collect comics has been of more use to me in my job than my entire university degree.

So next time your parents tell you to stop wasting time on comics and get an education, you have an answer for them!

In my forties, and I still hear that every week. :)

My parents also don't understand movies, books, fashion, style, or music - but i love them anyways.
