Just where I expected the team to be. Nice find! But Alpha Flight isn't B-list. Alpha Flight #1 sold over 500,000 copies and the title was in the top 10 list every month for years. A-list. Modern legacy has Dale Eaglesham. A-list. Northstar wedding in TIME magazine and over 100 natiinal and international newspapers. A-list. Puck in Uncanny X-Force while not even being a mutant. Why? A-list. Jeffries basically saving everyone on Utopia three or four times now. A-List. Aurora smackdown of Norman Osborn. A-List. And so on.

Eaglesham isn't considered A-List unfortunately.

And the fact that the wedding happened in an X-Book shows that AF isn't A-List.

Sadly, though, that's of the past.

OTOH, I kind of like loving a team that isn't overpopular. It makes it easier to collect everything related to them (since there isn't as much), and makes it more personal. In reverse order of importance.

I also note that they mentioned China Force during #8.

Awesome!

Once again, I agree with Phil (in this case, about Ron's points). Also, cancelled four times may not mean anything bad necessarily, but the fact that Marvel doesn't currently believe AF can sell enough to be a monthly series helps to cement their A-List status.

I wouldn't say that it's Marvel who doesn't believe it; I'd say it's a proven fact that it doesn't sell enough.

Well Alpha Flight is the greatest superhero team the world has ever known. And Dale Eaglesham is A-list. GO ALPHA FLIGHT! WHOO!

I agree, but we're the minority.

That's what I meant, actually.

I was thinking just the other day about how, when AF took a noticeable dive in quality after Byrne, and people decided they didn't like it stopped selling so well, and then they cancelled it.
Same with Teen Titans after Wolfman / Perez. And so many others...

but not All-New Uncanny X-Men for some reason. It took a nosedive in quality, people did nothing but complain, but its sales held steady. (Or at least stayed high.)

Why should that be, do you suppose? Why is that one immune?
