After Fan Expo, Dave Ross must be really tired of Alpha Flight stuff. It hasn't been making any money for him and he only got a couple of commissions but lots of signing.

ANYWAY! My girlfriend (Florence) tells me that she bumped into him at her school (where he teaches) and he's selling Alpha Flight artwork. Old pencils and whatever else he's got. I'm going to meet him on Thursday to buy one or two, depending on the price. It's looking like 40 a piece though.

I'm leaving this here because I know many of you are Dave Ross fans and obviously Alpha Flight fans. He responds quickly to e-mail and he'll be willing to meet up in Toronto. I don't know about mailing though as I live in Toronto too. Anyway, cheers. :)

I don't know that this is a new thing; he's been selling his work on comicartfans for years.

That's true. I went to his website to see what he had and he doesn't have like.. anything on it. I assumed he didn't have a whole lot until he told everyone at his school that he's selling his stuff. He said specifically Alpha Flight, so I think he wants to get rid of it :P

I got this specific page because it's kind of a story of it's own and I remember reading it in the comic itself not too long ago. Northstar has to be one of my favourite characters at the moment and this has his personality all over it.

He sold 4 pages while I was there. 3 of those pages were from his Dark Times run and the other 1 was to me. Some of the pages have artwork from the inkers on the back. They got bored and doodled or redrew some things that Dave Ross had drawn just to get a feel for it before they inked it. One of them had Aurora and Heather Hudson on the back looking all cartoony with certain "features" exaggerated. They looked like bobble heads. Very enjoyable to meet in person like that (when he's not at a convention).

He had no idea that this website existed. He seemed happy to know that he has a small fan following on the site, but was VERY humble about it. You guys should buy stuff off of him. He's looking to get rid of it, he's easily accessible and he's a friendly guy.
