So my friend/co-worker and I have started up a comic book podcast. First episode is pretty long, but we wanted to let it go that way, to give listeners a perspective on our tastes and such. Anyway, one of the first comics I ever got was Uncanny X-Men #121, which led to discussing Alpha Flight for about 5 minutes.

The first episode is due out, probably the end of the year, or first week of the new year.

Our Facebook page is here:

(Which has links to our official site, twitter, including small bios of Maico and I written in the form of Marvel Universe Handbooks!)

Good on ya!
I'd say that's definitely Alpha Flight related - no 'in a way' about it.

Heh - forgot to come back around - the first issue was released! The one where I talk about Alpha Flight is the first one. Second one was released too. If you don't want to surf the site, I collect all the "issues" on one page here:

I think the discussion between my co-worker and I about Sasquatch was great. (And the Youtube version I made of the podcast is pretty hilarious because he talks about liking Wendigo more and I said they looked alike; and in the video - I show Wendigo and then Sasquatch when he was white/with Snowbird's body) - right when my co-worker says, "No they don't!"

It's so much fun. If you enjoy it, by all means, post it on Facebook, Twitter, share the love and get the word out! We'd love the attention! :-D

Figured I'd keep this all in the same thread. So in Issue #4 of our Podcast, which this time focuses on DC, Alpha Flight gets a VERY brief mention (you can see the table of contents on the page so you don't have to listen to the whole thing - but I'd love if you did - and posted it on your facebook, twitter, etc) ;)

Tawmis, just took a listen to the first half of Podcast 4 (I'll get to the last half later on); just wanted to say, I enjoy it! It is both intelligent, and amusing - two things of which I am often accused of being neither!

I had meant to give the first three a listen, but honestly it just kept slipping my mind. After hearing what I have tonight, I will make it a pledge to go back and listen to them all. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much! It's rare that I do something creative - and feel proud of it. Because we are always our worse critics. But this is something that I have been proud how it has turned out. I spend (a lot!!!) of time editing and cutting the audio - to make it tight and sound as good as it does. (To give you an idea, each recording session is typically 2 hours long - and cut down to less than an hour!) A lot of it is cutting out excessive "Ums" and "Uhs" - but it's also cutting out content where it feels like rambling and not all that related. Sometimes it's cutting and moving one thing said later that fits better with something said earlier. So there's a lot of time and passion poured into this. And when someone says they like it - I honestly feel very proud, and very honored, that someone has taken time out of their day to listen to it. So thank you again!

So...do I get a no-prize now? Or a lifetime subscription to something? :-$
