These trademark rumours are starting to get out of control...

It's just our wild hopes getting away from us.
The other thread listed several of the trademarks in question; some of those 'movies' never got beyond rumour stage (Black Panther), some didn't even get that far (Strikeforce Morituri).

To be fair, this article did mention that an Alpha Flight movie (or tv show, or cartoon, or whatever) seemed fairly unlikely. It was chalked up to Marvel wanting to keep anybody else from getting their hands on AF.

That makes sense. Chalk makes the hands less slippery; gymnasts use it to keep their grip on the beams.

Annnnnndddddd...I don't know what. I just wanted to reply with something witty. Instead, I'll just go with feigned silence and a furrowed brow.

Oh yeah, the unlikeliness was always stated.
It's just odd that the trademarks were made back in December 2013 and now news sites are picking up on it again.

The original trademark from 1983 won't expire until 2033 so it wasn't to stop people from getting their hands on it, merely that in 1983 no-one had dreamed of digital comics.
Well, maybe they'd dreamed of them, but didn't expect them.

Probably because of all the stuff that's going on with the MCU at the moment - Guardians of the Galaxy about to be put out, the Sharon Carter, Daredevil, Jessica Jones (?), Power Man and Iron Fist TV serieses, Dr Strange, people are paying attention.

:) Hey! We did some good! But as stated in the thread - these are just rumors. But, hey if they will make an ANT-MAN movie, they just might make ANY kind of movie... even ALPHA FLIGHT.

Although new rumours have Ant-Man's director dropping off of the movie. This movie seems to have nothing but problems attached to it, and may never get off the runway.

Hey! We did some good! Bound to happen! Throw enough darts, eventually you're gonna hit the dartboard, right? Mind you, everyone may be too blind by that point to notice...or otherwise hospitalized...

They already have a new writer and director attached to the ANT-MAN movie.

As for the darts, that's pretty much my goal with the podcast...

I'm sorry, what were you saying? I was busy avoiding whatever that was that somebody keeps throwing at me. ;)
