Someone from here write that article? Weird that they used all those Ramón Pérez (http://comicsalliance.com/tags/ramon-perez/) photos!
And I'd love to see Marcus To do the art - if and only if - New Warriors ever gets cancelled, which I pray never happens (though I am fearful).
Only one iffy part:
Alpha Flight first appeared in X-Men #120 in 1979, created by series artist John Byrne to provide a set of worthy opponents for the X-Men as they tussled over who got to keep Wolverine. (Winner gets massive franchise success for the next several decades.) The team of Guardian, Snowbird, Shaman, Sasquatch, Aurora, Northstar, Marrina, and Puck, was not meant to stick around — but in 1983 Marvel editor Jim Shooter convinced Byrne to launch an ongoing series.
It makes it sound like Marrina and Puck were in the fight with the X-Men in 120 & 121.

Brought up a good point, which Alpha Flight would be used in the a new series, since the death of AF happened in New Avengers #16 (I had to go back and check this out for myself, since I quit reading NA for a bit). My only change would have Aurora and Northstar be based on First Nation twin sisters.

Chip Zdarsky is now on my list of people who don't want to be on a list.
I would post more but Phil would just delete what I would say.

Without saying too much, why is he not on your list that is a list that isn't a list?

Let's refer to it as the "not rplass' favorite person" list.
Really it's the "CENSORED" list.

He did come off as quite the d-bag.

I get it. But when you read text without tone...
Actually, given all this I wouldn't be surprised if Zdarsky's story in Original Sins #5 includes Alpha Flight.

If this is a thing, let us know, I'll actually read it.
It's pure speculation on my part so chances are I'm completely wrong.
It's due out in August, the solicit is:
ORIGINAL SINS #5 (OF 5)
AL EWING, RYAN NORTH & CHIP ZDARSKY (W)
RAMON VILLALOBOS, CHIP ZDARSKY & MORE (A)
Cover by Mark Brooks
• The Young Avengers’ battle with the Hood reaches its climax!
• The prime mover behind the Watcher’s murder confesses his own Original Sin!
• Plus, Everybody’s Got One! Find out the Original Sins and hidden secrets of dozens of other Marvel heroes and villains!

Well, if it happens, I'll pick it up after the fact, but I'm not going to get it the second it comes out.
Marvel barely gives you time to recover from one event before they're tossing another at ya.
It gets exhausting.
Well I'll let people know if it happens :D

It's called Event Fatigue, and it affects a lot of comic readers.
Because you're the best ever? THE BEST?
Now I've got the Karate Kid soundtrack stuck in my head.
"Seriously… wouldn’t an Alpha Flight that is constantly brooding and being difficult about manners be just wonderful?"
Uh... No.
Looks like Immomen ftw! (And he does have some atoning to do. Atone! Atone!)

I don't even do events anymore.
I cannot keep track of events and tie-ins and blah blahs.
It's too much.
I'll read the involvement of my current books in these events, and then just screw the big event. I do not want.

Sometimes I skip my current books during events.

I've skipped brunch before. But only on days where I eat a hearty breakfast, and a bigger lunch.

You should never skip breakfast, though.
It's one of the six most important meals of the day.

I stopped reading event stories about 12 years ago. Don't regret it. Most 'events' have no story, waste characters, and have no point really. THey wind up giving this big premise but don't spend the time developing it, like a novel that's 200 pages short. People I know who still read 'events' were seriously disappointed with Flashpoint, House of M, Civil War, on and on…. Not sure why they still get suckered in

And as to who I'd want on AF from Canada, well, Eaglesham as artist or Immomen, and writer is hard to say. MY idea would be an AF that does the dirty work of preventing future disasters, which cheeses off the x-men and shield and so on, as that means things like the Cosmic Cube and Zodiac Key and Apocalypse safe houses get destroyed. AF as doing good work that everyone hates but knows is right.

Chaos War was good - because it did the opposite. It actually brought BACK characters - including Alpha Flight, and several others.
