All I can say is - this movie is going to knock my favorite comic movie (Captain America 2, which just barely nudged out Avengers; it goes back and forth) - but GotG is going to take that throne and sit on it for a very, very, very long time to come - I can tell.

Great minds think alike, Tawmis. Captain America 2 is also my fave comic book movie, and I think Guardians looks like it is going to be Spectacular.

It really is! Did you also get to see the 17 minute preview of the movie?

They had an event yesterday (I don't know if it went beyond the US?) - that specific theaters were playing the 17 minutes on July 7th, at 7pm. It was completely free (still a pretty crazy line to see it). Just a thing you had to sign up for to get a max of 2 tickets. (ID was required to pick up the tickets).

Hadn't heard anything about this. Mind you, I only go to the theater about two or three times a year.

You will want to go for Guardians of the Galaxy. Opening day. Multiple times. In 2D and 3D at the same time.
ZOMGSOGEWD!

Yeah, I don't do Opening Day. I usually wait until the Monday following, crowds have thinned out by then.

Sounds dirty, but all right!

I'm at a stage right now where I'm avoiding most trailers / anything else like that. I don't even know if the preview was offered here.
I want to see it as fresh and unspoiled as possible.

Haven't we discussed this? You shouldn't judge it before you've seen it! ;)

... but so far, it looks like it'll be AWESOME!

And me, there are three movies out NOW that I want to see! (I've seen one of them.)
