• Northstar Dies With The X?

Marvel.com have an interview with Charles Soule, Jeff Lemire and Aaron Kuder, the creative team of October's Death Of X Miniseries, which features promotional art that has a dead Northstar(to the left of Cyclops) on it.

The series is set in the eight month gap between the end of Secret Wars and the start of All-New Marvel Now and while the image is an iconic one rather than a literal representation (as it shows a LOT of dead mutants, including ones that are currently alive) it could explain why we haven't seen Jean-Paul so far.

Kuder does mention that there's a large cast which could mean we at least get some cameos, and hopefully fills in where he's been and that he's alive and well. We shall wait to see...

*groan* we know why their doing it, but is it necessary to kill so many of their characters? That's a great image of the rise and fall of the two species

we know not all mutants die so there is still hope for Jeffries and Northstar

Jeffries could create an army of Boxbots that mutants could phase into to survive long enough to get them off planet. Then he could build them an Asteroid X mutant preserve where they could reside until Marvel/Disney gets the movie rights back.

And when they do, it usually doesn't last.

I just wish Marvel would rely on good stories and art. And not gimmicks.

So what's happening with Aurora, is she part of this too? Are there mutants on other teams who are dying because of this?

It's set during the 8 month gap after Secret Wars, so we know she survived due to being in Captain Marvel.
It might be the reason she's up in space though.

Could that be MadJef on the left?
His temples look grey in the close up, and he was last with these guys after UXM #600...

... could be, but his temples don't look grey in panel two; could be Bobby.

Hoping for Northstar in either X-Men Blue or Gold!

With Mark Paniccia and Daniel Ketchum as editors I reckon we could have a chance...
