I'll echo Varo's statement. I wonder who those characters on the cover are supposed to be? I recognized Nightcrawler, but who are the other two? And I hope this isn't another ersatz group posing as Alpha Flight; we can all remember how a situation like that is going to end up.
Apparently Sasquatch was said to be killed off-panel in "Shock and Awe" [Ultimate X-men] arc. So I wonder if he will appear
Marvel doesn't spare anyone, do they? Particularly a character from Alpha Flight. :x

i really hope ultimate alpha has some alpha flight members.
Me, too! I'd also like to see some original Alpha members, (particularly Birdie, Talisman, the twins, Sasquatch, and whoever Marvel lets live).
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's Dazzler, and I wonder if Sasquatch will even appear
I'd guess the X-tem they are using is Nightcrawler, Beak, Dazzler, and who cares. :P
It's Ultimate AF that draws my attention and we don't see them on the cover.
They might appear on the last page or something in this issue, but I bet they will be on the cover in the next issue
So I wonder if the story is like UXM #120-121, but instead of Wolverine it's Northstar
What makes me mad is that Walt got killed off panel. OFF PANEL. Its bad our squad gets hacked by Marvel every which way but now we get the off panel death. That is like a spit in the face
Then maybe everyone here shouldn't be getting their hopes up about Ultimate Alpha Flight...Seriously!
Marvel seems to be looking at everything Alpha as being expendable cannon-fodder. I/We don't know what's in store for UAF, but I doubt it has anything to do with them being very long-lived.
Dana
Thinking the same thing, even mentioned it on another board as well :cry:Quote:

Cover didn't reveal anything so didn't add it, and after "their" attack on Alpha Flight? So the X-Men start a fight, and now their fugitives? Uh oh does someone die or is it more an international incident
From a recent interview, we can expect Vindicator, Aurora and Shaman for sure to make their apperance.
Vindicator as in Heather??
Unknown, the writer just said VindicatorQuote:

Well I like some of their looks, others....not so much
Also Jubliee and Sunfire as Alpha Flight members? I can see Sunfire, but Jubliee?
I had a thread going on the Byrne forum for about 10 minutes, but it mysteriously vanished...
Snowbird is Danni Moonstar and Sasquatch is Taurus  , Interesting. Vindicator looks kinda fun, might well pick this up due to intrique.
macs ears need to be tucked away, and sasquatch.....blech. i agree, sunfire i can see, but not jubillee.
upon further review, thats not mac, it looks like a combination of major mapleleaf and guardian and whats with all the red lights on vindicator?
Sasquatch looks awful, and Vindicator is a christmas tree
Kinda like Shaman, Snowbird and Sunfire designs, but that's about it.
I agree with ya
I agree with both of you, and want to add, why does Snowbird look more like Talisman?
I like how the Maple Leaf design is integrated into Vindicator's costume. It's very well done, I think.
Aurora's tube top? Yeah, not so much.
Love,
rplass
I can only assume that they're the red goal lights from behind a hockey net. :)Quote:

I too wonder who Snoebird is. Possibly Talisman, yes. I like the basic design of Vindicator's costume. I wonder who he is (better not be Pointer!).
The team looks OK, but are they making Jubilee and Sunfire Canadians? The reference to the Ultimates makes it sound like their more Avengers than mutants. Seems like Colossus is still a mafia criminal again, hope AF is treated well. Starting by taking out Iceman and Wolverine ain't bad. Of course, they'll lose badly in the end, but may come back in issue 98.
I can see Colossus steam rolling them as the story arc is suppose to focus around him and if Alpha Flight is there for Northstar he is going to fight tooth and nail for him. Also there is supposed to be serious consequences from this, so perhaps he kills a few members? *shrugs*
Also I think Snowbird being native american makes far more sense then a blonde model. She is a native american goddess after all
It only makes sense if she has a Native American/Inuit father. The only reason Narya of 616 Alpha is white and blonde, is because her father was.Quote:
