The split-chronology made for a great misleading tease to the side USAgent chose.
I thought it was a great little story. I certainly didn't expect this outcome, but it's an interesting one. I too thought of Persuasion when Purple Man showed up. I think John is going to be an interesting character in this new series.
I've always liked US Agent and am glad to see he's in this new book. A very complicated and interesting guy. And man, Purple Man is gonna pay when John gets his shield back.
Nobody expects the Canadian outcome!Quote:

I was kinda glad of the last story, since I'd read about the upcoming mini- in CSN, and wanted a piece of it, but not enough to buy it. But, hey, a Marvel comics / daytime soap Xover? Hee hee hee.
As to the USAgent story...
This one didn't have the stigma of the others, since I was buying Omega anyway.
Good; well-written, well-drawn. I got the feeling Stark set up USAgent; I mean, Stark asks him to go to Canada, he refuses, so a villain conveniently steals his shield and goes to Canada? Too convenient.
I smell a plotline... nope, sorry, I need a shower.
Good story.

USAgent seems easily provoked, but Stark seems willing to provoke him. One of my pet peeves is that Tony seems to be involved in everything under the sun except bringing in Nitro (a real villain). I can see if Cap has an aversion to getting himself blown to smithereens (but the hero I think he is wouldn't be overly concerned about that), but Iron Man should have contingencies to offset Nitro's power. If these two weren't so preoccupied with beating the crap out of each other. But I digress...
Kara's dad has a few reasons to head north, even though the Purple Man is not one of my favorite badguys. Makes sense, USAgent looks like he's in for a rough time, but he seems determined.
Very good start.
Tony's beaten Nitro silly before, witha less-advanced version of his armor. If he put the effort into finding Nitro, it'd be over quickly.
Mayhaps because of the god awful name? Who can take I guy who calls himself "Purple Man" seriously even if he can control minds?Quote:

Just read in Comics International that the team comprises of people who 'didn't take sides' in the Civil War. Spider Person who didn't take sides = Arana. Damn!! :evil:
She took sides just as much as Julia Carpenter did. They both started up on side for registration, and Julia changed her mind, as it looks like Arana is doingQuote:

Please, please, let it be Julia.
Julia= USAgent conflict.
Julia= Possible shroud cameos.
Julia=Plot of her daughter and post Civil War trauma(Scott Laing was great with Cassie).
Julia=Older, wiser and cool powers.
The Spider-Person looks older then Arana and her hair is much longer. Hopefully this points to Julia.
Hey Ben, any word on when new info will be available on this book? I know Oeming said he was still doing research and there will probably be a 6th member added. Did they let you when we'd hear more details?
Thanks!

i was wondering the same thing. haven't heard anything in a feww weeks. new art? launch month?
I think some new art or news would be good, to keep the idea of Omega fresh in peoples minds.
Oeming just posted this on his board. He said it reveals nothing but it actually shows Julia in the bottom corner 8)

did anyone see the author of that thread? :D
also must add, and prefix it by saying i'm not sure if omega will succeed or not, but oeming is by far one of the coolest writers i have read on message boards.
i mean he cares about his fans input and seems like he genuinely enjoys comics, plus he posted a answer and art within a day.
sweeeet.

Julia and Walker, a bunch of guys beat up, and a white snow character? Hmmm.... more food for thought.
That character with the eyes, looks like it isn't one thing or the other, unless it hasn't finished it's journey to it's destination form yet? :roll:Quote:

I always thought Byrne implied that there must be a Shaman and a Talisman to safeguard Canada from the great Beasts and other mythical/mystical threats. The presence of Beta Ray Bill alongside Shaman should ensure there is enough of the otherworld ethereal story potential there, ala the X-Men/Alpha Flight mini series with Loki.
I'm chanting as I speak!!! :D
I'm 100% Snowbird will appear in Omega Flight one form or the other, to what regards is what we have to wait for.

Also my comic shop phoned Marvel to see when Omega Flight, and it's not coming out for a whole year. I forget the exact month she said, but I can check back on wed.
A whole year? As in October/November of next year!?Quote:

A whole year? I'm expecting Omega Flight to be out in April at the latest. After all, it's tied to Civil War and would be awfully stupid of Marvel to put a series 'launching from Civil War' out almost a year after Civil War was done. Most series tied to the outcome of Civil War will be out by June for certain, so I'm expecting OF out by May at the absolute latest, March at the earliest. If Mr. Kolins is already doing art, March makes sense.
Quite possible they were actually told it would be "next year" not "in a year".
I honestly can't see Marvel giving a release date to a store before it's actually announced, infact I can't see the front-end sales contact for stores having that much information at this point in time. I think.
Ben
I doubt Marvel would have announced when they did and how they did if Issue #1 wasn't going to hit the stands for over a year. Mid 2007 I reckon, prolly a little earlier.
I might send an email to my shop to put people at ease, but they did for in fact release a date.
You can if he makes you!Quote:
