Those images of the armor in Nation X #3 were ghost images, haunting reminders of his destructive past as a brainwashed agent of Weapon X. I never took those images to indicate there was actual armor in the workshop with him, but rather a memory of the armor instead.
Could have been, can't say for certain but I could see it really being physically there as well.
Phil, I misunderstand my own humour. I think I should have been born British; is British Columbian close?
If it means I get to come visit for the holidays it works for me!
lol
I was thinking the eleventeenth was good, but then something came up... in Pensyltucky.
Age of X: Northstar appears...he is ordered to get Dr.Rao and he takes out Kitty Pryde. He has some sort of energy ropes attached to his wrists
SPOILER -highlight text below to reveal
In this timeline Aurora is murdered.
END SPOILER
*facepalm*
At least tell me he's not mind-controlled again?
Nope he is one of the good guys, and he is on a strikeforce team with Angel, Gambit, Vertigo oh and of course...Dazzler. They knocked out Kitty as they thought she was the enemy.
Good deal. Odds of me picking up this trade are looking better and better.
Not sure whats the deal with the energy ropes around his wrists, but hopefully they answer that.
I think they are just superspeed contrails so you get an unconventional effect of motion. I dont see them as being actual objects attached to his wrists.
I smell a conspiracy!
No, wait, the rat's burning...
If anyone was curious I asked someone to get me a scan of the page in question

Hard to tell just what the new power effects are from the art, but looks like JP doesn't have to actually touch someone to take them down -- seems like just being in his wake did it.
Kind of like this:

About Northstar: Those look like light/glow trails to me. It appears that he has some sort of lights on his wrist bands...it's kind of an odd accessory (especially red). His eyes also appear to be red, what's that all about?
Dana
Gah! The Land art! It burns!
Not too sure about those being light trails. In the panel where he is standing still, wouldn't they then NOT be there?
Personally, i think his friendship bracelets are just too long...
I knew that.Quote:
That's what I was gonna say.
Jeffries shows up in X-Men Legacy #246 too! I flipped through a copy at the LCS quickly but didn't have time to read it and then the salesgirl asked for it back because it was actually from someone's weekly pull. All I saw was him in his lab and Gen. Magneto talking to him. Anyone have more details?

MODS: Perhaps a new Official Age of X thread could be made combining this one with the one for X-Men Legacy 245?
Done & Done.
And I mean Done.
If anyone still hasn't seen the issue in hand, the page is explained over at CBR.
I agree with Flightpath - they just don't make sense as speed lines.
Why are they constant?
Why would he be standing still and yet moving his arms fast enough to make speed lines?
In public, I mean.
They really look to me like they're something that's tied to his wrists.

"I refuse to participate in the recession"
Yeah...Cats would love those light string-things...LOL.
As long as Northstar has a higher level than an ordinary commoner, he should be okay.
I'd love to see that in a comic. S'rously. A character taking the time out (with stringy things like that) to play with cats... it'd just be a cool moment.
