Hello, to my fellow Alpha Fans!.... I thought I was alone in this world.....Boy was I surprised to find this sute ...I Love it....I've been a Alpha Fan since way back...I'm talking Byrne, Vindicator, showing up in X-Men looking for logan. I wnet away for a while, not caring for some of the stuff they did after Bryne left (Puck/supernatural/non Dwarf stuff) and liking some things (Box becoming Jefferies, He still is isn't he?) I have been away for awhile.......My Fav is Vindicator, Mac, James, the original. i know they've done some strange things with him while I was away. Maybe someone could get me up to speed. I'd love that. Huge fan of the original Bryne lineup.....Lets talk...Thanks...
welcome to the asylum, V-Man! grab a piece of carpet, but be weary of the cupboard... ya never KNOW what may try to eat you (like that sardine and egg salad sandwhich.... I STILL blame Del for that one...)

Welcome to the boards V-man and Zekethegreat! I'll make an ass of myself if HC won't, Shalom! :D Here's a link to help bring you up to speed on what's happened/happening to Alpha:

Check out the Alphanex and Latest News links on the right.
Welcome Ezekiel! Love seeing members from distant lands :) Don't mind the squishy spots in the cupboard, they are just last year's left-over turkey.

I was conferring with a Rabbi I knew once, but, sadly, things went down-hill after he passed away.
Legerd, the thought was nice but:
Nobody says Shalom in Israel!!!
We Boker Tov(Good morning), Tzohoraim Tovim(good afternoon),
Erev Tov (good evening), or if more friendly Ahalan(it basically means hello and its really in arabic but anyways).
anyways I've been too long on the computer and gotta go daven.
C ya'll
Zeke-o
Ah, but I'm not in Israel. Thanks for the correction, and We Boker Tov Zeke!Quote:

I've glanced in and out of these boards for around a year or so, but I thought it was finally time to join up and lend my posting support for the team.

Birth Date: January 2, 1986
Location: Arkansas, United States
Occupation: College Student and Summer Camp Counselor
Interests: Comics, Star Wars, Anything else qualifying me as a 'geekydorkboy'.
BIO: I was born in the city of Dallas in Texas and lived there for most of my life until I attended boarding school in New Jersey. Following a return home for High School I headed off to college (where I am now) studying as an english major and minor in politics. I spend most of my free time now in pursuit of comic books and the interesting stories they provide, and occasionally right some rather pathetic fanfiction, which has particularly suffered due to my loss of an e key (now copied and pasted, hence my inability to capitalize the letter e in english).
Welcome aboard Shaman of The Whills, just shove a few of the coat hangers over make yourself at home. :)
I'm new too. I kinda snuck in last week and just started posting like I'd been here all along. Soo uh, hi folks. I'm from Canada but currently living in Japan, so I'll probably do most of my posting when you're all sleeping.
Welcome to you both! Make yerselves at home in the cupboard, don't mind the cranky OLD british guy, I know he smells funny, but he won't bite (because his teeth all fell out)
Ben
Oh, who's a little whit (sp) today, :P :lol:Quote:

Welcome Ravenheart, you came at a bad time with the aftermath of what happened to AF in New Avengers #16 :( . Anyways welcome to the board and enjoy your stay.Quote:

Welcome Ravenheart! Always room in the cupboard for more, just kick the corpses out of the way.

INTERESTS: New ways to make my daughter laugh.
I currently have a couple of films in the Hollywood machine, some stuff showing at the Cannes this year, and writing for King Tractor Press including INNOCENT (The Sword mini-series and the regular OGN series), FAMILY BONES, and will soon launch a daily webcomic.
That's it...mostly. I've been around the Alpha Flight group since the early days. I was still at CNN then...long, long time ago. I kind of got distracted and the lack of AF kind of put me on the lurk mode. But I'm still around.
Hey Shawn, nice to see you're still around, and under a new handle :) You seem to have a lot of new stuff going on, nice to see life is staying interesting for you!

BIO:I discovered your website years ago and lurked unitl now. I appreciate the hard work and community you established here. Thanks for having us.
I was a sporadic collector of Alpha Flight. I would read them in store and then buy the ones I liked, which were unfortunately few and far between. I believe that most writers just did not get "IT".
I look foreword to seeing a New Alpha Flight better than before (Not hard in my opinion).
Cheers
QM :?:
Nice to have you jumping in Eddie! Thanks for the nice comments about the site :)
Ben
Alpha Flight has the distinction of being a team I love without having ever seriously followed the comic. I was always more of an X-Men reader (a title which has since alienated me, and become incomprehensible to those who haven't been keeping score), but I always loved Alpha Flight when they turned up in Chris Claremont's issues.
Great to have you here Transmetropolitan! If you weren't a big AF collector before, spend a little time around here and you'll wanna get 'em all :D There's plenty of storage space in the cupboard.Quote:

Own the entire arc of that wonderful, wonderful series. In collected form, of course.
And yeah... Spider Jerusalem makes me happy.
In a gut-churning, angry, "oh-dear-lord-not-the-face" kind of way. ;)
I have from #8 - 60 and every TPB, most signed by Ellis and Ramos. Pure class and probably, imo, the 'V for Vendetta' of the 90's.
Hi there everybody, just thought I'd be polite and introduce myself.
I've been a big AF fan since I first saw eyes on them in X-men, and I am currently trying to get hold of all the old issues (not easy here in Norway).
Interests outside comics is RPG's, Music and HeroClix (I have a killer Alpha Flight HC team).
Rune
Welcome Nanostorm! I saw your post about your heroclix, nice AF collection! You sould photo those rare ones for us to see! Best advice for getting yer hands on back issues is ebay, lots of folks will ship worldwide, and and you can get big collections cheap quite often.
