Hello! Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a huge Marvel fan and have been for a long time. I came across this site and thought I'd sign up! My fave mutant has always been Vindicator/Guardian!
Also as a hobby I'm a Marvel customiser... Here's what I do: http://www.acecustoms.blogspot.com
Cheers
Hi yourself! You sure have talent!
Hiya Ace, welcome to the forum!Quote:

Well, I don't mind if he's your fave, whatever, fine with me :) but not everyone else thinks so highly of him. So which Vindicator/Guardian did you mean?

Birthdate: March 19, 1988
Current Residence: Red Deer, Alberta
Interests: Comics, Video Games, Japanese anime/manga, sci-fi and fantasy
Superpowers: Awesome Force and Super Sexiness (lolz, sorry. Couldn't resist).
Bio: An aspiring comic book writer and artists. Though I doubt I'll be breaking into the industry anytime soon, I have two main goals for when I finally do: 1) Give Alpha Flight the respect it deserves and 2) Put an end to the horrible overuse of the "One Year Later" Resurrection plot device which has plagued mainstream comics in the last several years.
I am always seeking feedback for my work, so if you have suggestions on how I can improve, let me know. I've already posted some details about a couple of my Alpha Flight OCs in the Fanart section.
If anyone is interested, my DA Page can be found at aerugo.deviantart.com, though I will be posting Alpha Flight related work here as well.
Hiya Benjamin. Welcome to the boards. Hope you enjoy yourself and any probs, just shout out.
Yah, what Del said :) You can never have enough Benjamins who are pisces :D...watch out the pudding in the closet, I think it's spoiled.

Though I started my rise to power LONG before you did...10 years...and 2 days to be exact...happy birthday to me\\:D/

Hi.
I was a big fan of the original Alpha Flight. I think I was about 13 yrs old when AF got their own comic book, which I loved up until #12. I still have my copy of Alpha Flight #1, X-men #140, and many other AF treasures after all these years.
Between getting older, and the deterioration of the Alpha Flight story after issue #12 ( I continued to read AF for a few years but eventually gave up on it), I had pretty much forgotten about AF for the past few decades.
I recently started remembering the enjoyable times I had reading Alpha Flight as a kid after I read that director Vincenzo Natali expressed interest in making an AF movie. I started browsing the 'net and eventually found this site.
Glad to see an old Alpha Fan come back, welcome :)
Welcome to the Assylum Rich!
Hi everyone.
Like you I am a huge fan of Alpha Flight.
The first two comics I collected was Marvel Two in One Thing & Sasquatch & Marvel Two in One Thing & Alpha Flight.
I collected Alpha Flight from Vol 1, Issue 1 and have been a fan of the original group ever since.
Unfortunately, with the exception of two issues of X-men, AF V1, 1-4 & 12 We've never seen the original group together.
Maybe it will change...someday!
welcome Sasquatch17! Don't mind the smell in the cupboard, Del spilled a quart of tequila last month. Glad to have you here, enjoy the crazyness!
Thanks!
I just wish Marvel would produce an Alpha Flight comic with the original lineup.
Guess I'll have to be patient.
Hey Sasquatch17, welcome aboard! With the one-shot coming up you won't have to be patient long. :)
Welcome, Sasquatch17! Good to have another western Canadian on board!
Thanks...its nice to see that I'm not the only one who likes Alpha Flight!
;)
Hey everyone. Not only am I new to the site, but I'm kinda new to Alpha Flight. I'm Canadian, and a long time comics reader (with a bit of a hiatus in my 20's) but never really felt drawn to the team and as a result, never really read any AF comics. I've felt lately it's my patriotic duty to rectify that situation, and I've even started a blog to chronicle my journey. Looking forward to getting to know the site and the fans who use it.
Welcome thehorseman to Alphaflight.net! Glad you finally made it. :)
Run away! Run away while you c---
A big welcome from me as well thehorseman. {guardian}
DIGGER
Hi all,
I hope everyone is doing well.
My name is Randy Belaire, and I am a local author from Pembroke, Ontario. My debut novel, The Resurgence: Chronicles of the Shadow Chaser is now on sale. The novel is of the urban fantasy/neo-pulp/super-hero genre and the first of a two-book series. The protagonist of the story is the Shadow Chaser, a Canadian super-hero/adventurer fighting crime in the city of Toronto. I am looking forward to chatting with you all soon. :)
Cheers,
Randy
welcome Randy! What age range would you say your book is aimed at?
Ben
Hi Ben,
I hope all is well. Thanks for the kind words. I would say the age range would be between 10 to adult. I know a person who bought the book for his 9-year-old son, and he loved the story.
Cheers,
Randy
